What do you think about Arreola? How far can he go in the heavyweight division? A fight against Haye makes sense to me. The winner should fight Wlad or Vitali.

Vitali is considering a voluntary fight Vs. Haye or Arreola depending on which fight brings more money. Vitali will either knock Haye out or Arreola. Arreola would knock Haye out and is the best American heavyweight.

Arreola has no potential. He is a club fighter. No boxing ability, no footwork, no hand speed, no defence, not a great chin (as proved by the extremely limited Walker) but he has a bit of power. But against the Klits who are big enough to stay out the way of Chris's wild swinging hooks with ease and Haye who has the reflexes to go untouched by much much faster boxers (which he has proved) i can't see his power being a factor. Power is only a factor if you can land it... against better skilled ATHLETES I see Arreola struggling.

Farmboxer... You're just a hater with very little knowledge on Haye and you're Wlad bum loving opinions are losing weight and substance by the day. Change the record

Haters aside, the man does have good potential; a big, strong guy with heavy-handed power in both hands and the ability to put punches together better than most heavyweights out there today. He even showed the ability to go to the body against McCline (not a talent that heavyweights are known for these days) and even showed some decent head movement in that fight... two things he would improve on vasty if he were to take his training seriously.

Sadly, I don't think he'll ever fulfill his true potential and instead he's more likely to end up burned out at an early age because of his overweight issues much like Riddick Bowe, Kirk Johnson, and Samuel Peter. If his fatass doesn't get into shape that will undoubtedly be his inevitable doom.

i've changed my opinion of cristobal a lot....i thought he was going to be something.....and then i saw the walker and McCline fights, and realized he is too one-dimensional to go to the top....and gets hit to easily and has a shaky chin.....anybody with average skills with a heavy punch, along with killer instinct puts arreola to sleep....and it will be brutal when it happens...

A ("big strong guy")- HeavyWeight that punches hard, wow imagine that! He dont have much else going for him mate. He is fat, slow, and has no defense. I too have completely changed my opinion.

Won't go far and is destined to get KO'd against either Klitschko once he decides to fight them. He needs to come in 100% for every fight or else he will be looked at the same way Peter is.

Hmm, I guess you missed the part where I said he goes well to the body and puts his punches together in fluid combination. Again another skill which heayweights are not known for these days, including Wlad. Well, no worries, you can't convince a biased hater like you anyway.... and a thing I also forgot to mention is that he's prety decent technically. He throws short and straight punches and waits till he works his way in close to unleash his offense. Smart boxing product of his amateur career.

No telling if he'll ever reach his full potential, but talent he does indeed have.

To be honest from what i've seen of him that isn't a comment i would make. To me he is very wild and 1 dimensional and you don't have to be biased to see that. Biased are the people who claim Arreola is more deserving of a title shot while Haye isn't because he hasn't fought a top 10 HW... well neither has Arreola and Haye is a much more skilled and accomplished boxer. He may put punches together fluidly but they are soooooo slow and half the time the guy throws single hooks and nearly knocks the judges out where he swings them so wide.

Also you allude to him learning good boxing skills as an amateur... as an amateur you need to have a good defence and footwork... if Arreola ever had those he has lost them now. He is more flat footed than Sam Peter

I've seen some things I like about Arreola. He throws combinations that have an effect. He's aggresive and uses the jab. His aggresiveness sometimes overshadows his skills, but he does have them. When he gets hurt, he still manages to focus, and he's got off the floor to turn things around.
I've seen something I don't like, and that is his conditioning. He'll only get so far unless he gets in shape. Every time he gets interviewed he promises to get in better condition, but he just seems to get fatter.
After watching Ruslan Chagaevs pathetic challenge against Wlad, it's more obvious than ever that the Heavyweight division is wide open, and the top spot is there for the taking. For a former world amatuer champion and a professional beltholder, Chagaev seemed absoloutly clueless. He stood straight up in Wlads line of fire, then just quit. He really quit before the fight was stopped, just going through the motions for the last couple of rounds. Him and the other pudgy Russians are truly mediocre performers.
I looked to Haye and Arreola to put a stop to the ordinaryness, but Haye seems content to talk about boxing without really doing any and Arreola's priority seems to be gaining weight. If this trend continues , all heavyweight boxing fans will have to look forward to is Wlads boxing correspondence school style of boxing and a few artless, souless, half hearted challenges to his crown, with no danger of a fight breaking out.
