Arreloa's Potential?

I still can't see him doing too much, but he is improving. A fight with Haye or Peter would be a good next move.

 

A fight against Haye would be suicide at this point. Until he improves his defence and learns to get out of the way or block straight punches he would be decapitated by Haye who's favourite punch is the straight right which Arreola just doesn't seem to be able to get away from.

 

The only think Arreola brings to the table is some resemblance to a good American fighter, something we havent seen in a while. Other than that, his power is mediocre, his defense is horrible, and his overall skills are fair. Still should be good enough to starch Wladmir.

 

He appears to have some talent but he'd have to work hard to hone it and judging by his appearance he's not willing to put in the time.

Haye's defense is pretty bad, too. When he throws, he leaves big gaping windows and gets hit to land a lot of his big shots. This type of exchange would get him in trouble against any decently strong heavyweight.

 

But only a quick handed fighter with a decent defence and counter punching ability could exploit this with Haye... none of which Arreola has. In general Haye keeps his left hand low but he has very good reflexes and many a faster fighter haven't managed to find his chin

 

Personally, I think he's ****. But, what do I know? I'm just some internet hack.

 

Arreola is the best American heavyweight. He would knock Haye out. Although Arreola did refuse to fight Vlad.

 

He needs to loose a lot of weight before he's ready to take on an athlete of Wlad's condition and seasoning.

Arreola being the best American HW just goes to show how **** the American HW's are right now. Haye is 20 times the fighter Travis Walker is and Walker could have stopped Arreola if he had a bit more stamina. Arreola gets decapitated against Haye... i don't even see it going past a round. Apparently Haye has already knocked Arreola out in sparring

 

If he comes into a fight with Vitali Klitschko in shape he has a good chance to stop him late. i don't think he beats Wladimir Klitschko. I also he beats Nikolay Valuev, John Ruiz, Ruslan Chagaev or whoever the WBA makes their champion.

 

Vitali will kill him. Valouev will beat him if fight happens. Chagaev is better than Haye also.

 

Chagaev better than Haye? yes.... as an amateur... as a pro he doesn't have tools, not enough power, not enough work rate, everything is done in straight lines, very little in the way of defence. Severly over rated in my opinion.

Farmboxer you are clearly a wind up merchant and a hater but i suggest you watch a bit more of Haye. Your views on him are very warped and if you can't see how good of a fighter he is you clearly don't know boxing.

 

Watch Haye fight. His punches are wide, he is off balance, has no chin, no stamina, defense not so good. Vlad by very vicious knockout, but looks like Vitali might put him into the morgue first.
