the guy has had 2 years worth of tune ups. Stiverne is a damn tune up, he should be able to flatten him before 6 rounds

Or you could look at the other side of the coin. Without the knee ever buckling on him he would have never been dropped by the punch. He looked clear headed, but knew there was something very wrong with his knee. As far as a Solis-Arreola fight....I think Solis would be to fast and skilled. After all, Chris couldn't beat the averagely skilled Adamek.

Ironic that Arreola called Adamek a blown-up cruiser, when in fact Adamek is no more of a blown-up cruiser then Arreola. The evidence is there in the video. Arreola is in excellent condition at 178 lbs as a (mostly) grown man in 2001.

Just like nearly every other contender at heavyweight. When he does though I will let you know. His skill is obvious to anyone who knows boxing. Living up to that potential is still a question mark at this point though, I agree.

rule of thumb....never bet or buy into a fighter that isnt interested in being in shape as a young fighter. anytime a discussion has to be made in regards to how would he match up against FIGHTER X "well if he comes in around 235 there is no way he will lose"
story of his life. we could be witnessing the first cuban heavyweight champ or just some great fights, but he would rather be lazy with built in typical excuses why he is inactive and or lazy and fat

Is it not the same though for just about every heavyweight contender today though? All I'm saying is he has great talent. Whether he lives up to his potential remains to be seen, but if he does get himself in real shape he looks like he could be a very good fighter.

I agree but Stiverne is ranked highly by WBC and it is a WBC title eliminator.
I think Arreola knocks him out in 3.

True. Arreola is almost unrecognizable as a LHW. But his power is good enough for the HW division and his chin too. But,if he stayed in shape I bet he could have won some titles in CW and LHW before coming up.

Like Arreola said though, "food is just so delicious."

there are alot of fighters that have talent. but if your heart aint in it, then it becomes folklore of message boards on what if...or coulda .... no doubt he has talent, but its being pissed away as we speak. he did manage to fight in may, but september is almost here and there is no fight scheduled....

yeah the WBC has a soft spot for 22-1 fighters who are inactive and managed by Don King. Hopefully this fight comes off, would be fun to watch

I saw him here in OC a few weeks ago, and he looked pretty solid. Cris is his own worst enemy at times and has cost himself big time. I still think a healthy, motivated Arreola can bring some excitement to this division.

Yeah well Arreola hates King so it would give him some extra motivation to KO Bermane bum killer Stiverne.
