He's never had much discipline when it comes to his weight. But I still think there's a good chance he will beat Adamek.

Said it before: Arreola seems like a genuinely nice guy in interviews. He's not the most verbally-tactful, but he doesn't seem to put up a front. Regardless, I'm done giving a **** about undisciplined mother****ers who happen to possess speed, power, & some boxing skills.

Lack of discipline is what stunted the careers of Tyson & Toney, & Arreola is nothing compared to their legacies.

He might beat Adamek down to cruiser like he did Minto. Chris may not have the ripped physique but he hits the ring to fight, doesn't have bad stamina, and gives the fans some action unlike so many boxers that have been mentioned ad nauseum(Floyd, and the rest of the bike riders). Chris is the type of all out fighter that may not be top shelf like the Klitschkos (right now no one may be on their level) but is still by no means a bum like fools make him out to be.

It's just pathetic after crying on national TV about how you needed to get in shape and cut out the crap, and then not do it!

Man, he's a young man, he has plenty of years to abuse his own body - give yourself the best chance in your prime.

He must really be good at sucking his gut in, he didn't look 300 pounds at that press conference.

Read people, it's not true. Arreola's weight prior to the Vitali camp was 295, not his weight prior to Adamek.

    This :deal

Yes we know Arreola is not a Playgirl centerfold or underwear model and everyone and their mother pokes fun at his less than ideal weight and physique. But it's just typical internet toughguy/keyboard warrior **** talking calling the man a bum....talking like the man couldn't last a round with anyone who posts here.

Truth is he doesn't look much different at 229 lbs and will never have the body beautiful physique. But for being supposedly so grossly out of shape he has an impressive workrate for a man his size and we've never seen him tire(whereas we have seen more physically impressive looking heavies tire such as Wlad did before his renewed form we see today)

It would do him better to come in weighing 20 lbs less than he typically does(seems to be working for Sam Peter thus far) but some of you just exaggerate from behind your keyboards. I tell you what, if you're gonna call him such a hopeless bum and you weigh 200 lbs or more then get in the ring with him and beat his ass into retirement.

    :huh

    Exaggerate, much?

Noone is expecting him to be *the body beautiful*, or to be an underwear model..........

But if you are a PRO athlete who boxes on NATIONAL TV, at least lose your mantits and get yourself AT LEAST in SOMEWHAT decent shape. At least get yourself somewhat professional looking and in a somewhat impressive fighting condition, cause its a business and a sport, both...............Arreola, repeatedly, looks WORSE than your ordinary joe schmoe off the street who never trains. And he's supposed to be a professional, world class prize fighter who does this for a living.

Ummm, no. As a professional he shouldn't have to lose anywhere near that much weight before fight time. **** like that is a ****ing disgrace to the sport. :verysad

Arreola is a manufactured fighter much like Michael Grant was. Yes he can punch, but he is not an elite fighter and never will be. It is just a fact.

Can he beat Adamek. He should, he has 30 plus pounds on him. I think it will be interesting, only because Adamek is not a real heavyweight in my opinion. But the Heavyweight division is terrible, so Adamek could very well school arreola.

Thread title is wrong. Arreola came into the Klitschko fight at 295. Not this fight.

    Why?

All the evidence is to the contrary in his case.
