Arreola & Chambers: 2011 Defining year for both guys?

Eddie IMO can go pretty far. Has a lot of good skills and is young. i dunno about Arreola. He doesn't throw enough right hands, IMO.

 

They will do what all heavyweights do, beat up bums until they get a title shot and then get beat up because they have no tangible experience in high level fights

 

I think that fight would be ideal if both guys were on top of the division considering they are both under Goosen. With that being said Eddie last fight under Goosen is this friday so a fight with him and Arreola is very possible if eddie signs elsewhere.. If Eddie fights Arreola i can see Eddie beating arreola by a fairly wide UD i see Eddie moving around n giving him much movement not letting Arreola set up to throw anything effective while Eddie sets traps to set his punches up and then get out of range to set up his offense again

 

Wasn't Chambers going to drop down to cruiser after the loss to Klitschko?

 

Yes im sure hes quick enough eddie is out smaller guys like yusef mack and Steve cunningham during sparring in fact, they both have complimented eddie on his speed both hands and feet

 

Arreola isn't that good i'm afraid, he's a fun banger, but not an elite imo, people say "if he lost weight" but he's been wobbled by guys like Mcline, if he was 220, his punch resistance would be worse.

as for chambers, he's a good cruiserweight, thats all im saying

 

Arreola and Chambers would beat Haye right now.

 

I've never really bought into the Arreola hype. He is a strong albeit crude slugger who has heart but limited skill. Chambers on the other hand could probably make some noise if he decides to drop down a division and redicate himself.

 

Chambers has already fought Povetkin, Peter and Dimitrenko,

A rematch with Povetkin would be nice if they were both to get back in form, which is a big if, he is still 2nd level contender,

I never saw what was so great about Arreola, he is clearly in terrible shape and unlike Chambers, has not beaten anyone of note.

 

I think Eddie Chambers is the better of the two men, and may yet have a future ahead of him depending on how he progresses and how the division pans out. If the Klits end up retiring or losing at some point in the next year, Eddie could somehow end up with a fragment of the belt.. I don't see him ever being a unified great champion, but that doesn't mean that he can't still salvage a decent career. He is only 27-28 years of age, has a fair amount of experience against most of the best heavy's around and is seemingly taking his training and conditioning more seriously than he did a few years ago.. I wouldn't mind seeing him take on an opponent of a similar calibur to himself in 2011 like Arreola, Thompson or even a rematch with Povetkin..
