Touche, as the French would say. But at least Wlad would beat a guy who tried to hone his boxing craft to the highest level, who would train hard and come into the fight looking LIKE A FIGHTER. Noone is going to take Wlad's crown away easily. He is so underated on this forum it is almost comical. He has an awesome skillset and under Manny has become, largely due to Wlad's incredible "WORK ETHIC" a complete boxer puncher. That's not the point. Chris Arreola has got some serious skills and natural advantages and talent. I thought in time he could challenge Wlad and then he decides to eat like a freakin pig and just disgrace himself in front of the ticket buying public. AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE.

    ............. ripped? :blood

Noone was taking it to that extreme. They were, however, hoping/expecting him to be in a somewhat lean condition for fighting on the world level.......and that is far from being ripped.

Listen to Arreola say for his Nov 29th fight (this one tomorrow night) he'l come in about 235-240..........

Poor baby, some personal problems? I'm sure Wlad and especially Vitalli Klitschko will be very sympathetic with little Chrissy's personal problems come fight time. Man this Amerobum is going to be brutalized by the Klits. They don't have time for PERSONAL PROBLEMS. Maybe, Chrissy should try Midol and stay away from chick flics? Most importantly stop EATING.

At that weight he is going to be sluggish. He needs to lose at least 14 lbs in my opinion

This looks like an indicator that Arreola isn't prepared to make the sacrifices to be the best he can be.

He fought on the undercard of Rossy/Chambers at my old college last year. I got to meet him, shook his hand and stood next to him. I'm just short of 6'2" and he was exactly my height IN MOTORCYCLE BOOTS! He should be coming in at about 230, 255 is way too much for a "serious contender".

If it means anything, his crew looked like a gang of East L.A. thugs. Not exactly model citizens. I wouldn't expect this guy to be as disciplined as he should be based simply on the guys he surrounds himself with.

Interesting post. Thanks for the information. I can't believe a guy with this much potential doesn't lose the gangbangers and just train. The Klits don't play and he of all the American heavys looked like a player.

:good Spot on... about everything you wrote.

Wlad's achilles heel, like LL, is his average punch resistance. The keyboard warriors on here, half who haven't been in a fight since grade school, :yep that say he has a glass jaw are just haters. Sanders could crack, and at HW most fighters have "glass jaws" :-(

What skills? The ability to block punches with his face? Arreola is fat, slow, easy to hit, and brawls. I don't see much boxing skill, he throws a lot of punches and wears down weak opponents over several rounds.

I don't think Arreola has big one punch power, like Brewster, Tua, Klitschko, Briggs or something, and that is what Arreola will need to make up for lack of speed, technique, and defense against elite fighters . With that said he should beat Walker fairly easy. Walker is not a good HW.

Arreola is the next Michael Grant, Davarryl "Touch of Sleep" Williamson, Dominick Guinn- a much publicized American HW who just don't have what it takes.

I don't even know what they see in Arreola to hype him so much to begin with. He is a slow, crude, one dimensional brawler, who hasn't fought anyone yet.
