Fridays a pretty durable guy and has been used more as a sparring partner. He was Tysons sparring partner for a lot of the late fights. Hes basically learned how to survive against big punchers, so it was actually good work for Tua if he wants to get back into title contention. He was forced to go 12 rounds.

yea, not only that, but the US $ would probably be nothing because I don't see HBO making the trek all the way to New Zealand to put on a fight like this. The production costs would be too high for HBO.

So this is a major spin job.

    DAMN!

I have to say there is no appeal in a Tua fight for Ruiz, unless Tua has some serious wins soon and Arreola is pushed into it by the public like Mayweather was to fight Mosley.

He is likely to get smoked, lose position for bigger upcoming fights, become a spring board for Tua to get a shot, not make much cash...and of course cry like a ***** on TV again.

I doubt he was forced to go full 12 rounds. Friday is a tough guy, but he's mostly fought at gatekeeper level the majority of his career. He's not a big guy, only a couple of inches taller than Tua himself. Arreola can also be regarded as a durable opponent, he's only lost once. Against Vitali, and that wasn't a clear stoppage. I'm supposed to believe that Tua's gonna stop Arreola, who is pretty much a bigger, stronger and just as tough as Friday....

I do also, although Arreola took Klitchko's punches and Tua might punch harder with the left, but if he can take all of Klitchko's punches he should be able to take Tua's.

nothing more then a spin job if they seriously wanted to fight Arreola they would offer to do it in L.A where they could actually draw a crowd and money from H.B.O. there would be no U.S take for this fight.... Who would pay for the broadcasting rights for the time slot it would play at? this is nothing more then a pr move to try to make Tua seem relevant.

Might punch harder with the left? They are not even in the same ballpark...

Just because Friday survives has little bearing on whether Arreola will.
For one thing, Arreola will come to win. Big difference!

Arreola wins this..David is old and would get stopped imo...If he lands something big he could finish Chris off but I see Chris taking the decision or stopping him late
