I can't say anything bad about Arreola based on his last performance. I understand the guy wants more time, and his promoter is right. If someone were to offer me a one in a million chance like this fight, I'd want at least 6 weeks to prepare myself physically and mentally. This is a fight for the biggest prize in the world guys.
Fair enough, if he isn't in shape than he shouldn't take the fight, although Arreola should be stepping up soon.
True, but it's like Lebron James calling out any college hooper to a one on one game. I doubt Lebron's pissing his pants at the thought of getting through Tyler Hansburrough in the lane. Just like Wlad could give a **** less what fat (Arreola), undersized (Toney), or medically uncleared (Chagaev) oppenent he faces in place of Haye. He has the extremely weak division by the balls.
isn't in shape? ... what surprising, he is around 280 lb now. I'm guessing both Toneys and Arreola weight problems comes from Goossen BBQ parties.
Yeah but still I wouldn't bash on him or blame him, he's not responsible of how pathetic the division is, he just does his job and fights the ones available.
I hear Goosen makes a fantastic barbeque covered in his own home made barbeque sauce that they just can't resist.
Simply amazing how pathetic the heavyweight divison is. any guys from the contender series, a mma guy trying to break into boxing, a big bouncer who wants to make real money? what about godamn Butterball?
I don't think that Arreola is afraid. He just let himself get out of shape. Arreola in shape would be a tough fight for Wlad.
I agree, if something is always mysteriously going to keep Chagaev on the "injured" list for lack of a better term he should be stripped, given to Valuev and have a unification bout. It's absolutely stupid to even consider Arreola on such short notice.
I hear what your saying, and I really dont blame Wlad for that. I just refuse to call Wlad great, when he never even fought or beat anyone great or even hall of fame caliber. The guys best wins are over a very undersized heavyweight in Chris Bryd and an extremely green 25 yearold Sam Peter, who he struggled to beat. If Wlad stays undefeated for another 3 and a half, 4 years. Then I will call him a great, I mean thats what Holmes had to do during a weak division in the late 70's and early 80's. If my memory is correct, he defended the belt for nearly 7 years before losing to spinks, in what 84 or 85? So Wlad has another 3 and a half years to go then.
This forum has some sick people on it. Listen to this **** in this quote. This needs to be in the klitschko quote of the week thread. This nuthugging has gone to far.
Exactly the way I see it since there is no one worth making a major fight with except for Haye and even that one MIGHT be looked at as nothing major(not in my view) later if Wladimir wins of course. All he can do is just continue defending the title till he's done with the sport and loses interest completely. You never know man, maybe someone good will eventually come, if not then at least he defended for as long as he could.
You little nuthugging ***. Kevin Johnson is in shape ready to go kick wlads ass. The Klitschko camp want call him back. Klitschko is trying to get another easy ride. He needs to wait for Haye asnd fight him on July 11th. So we can see haye whip his overrated ass.
