Yep, and I am serious. Arreola has sharper and shorter punches and is much more accurate than most heavyweights. Arreola can throw every type of punch and...he hits harder than the large majority of heavyweights. The majority of the board tries to downgrade Arreola because he is a young heavyweight, young American heavyweight, or the rare latino heavyweight...but the bottom line is...he can crack and he has exciting fights.
He definitely can crack, I think he has a good future with some more refinement. He does take too much leather in return, though, I think he should spend some time on his defense. Someone said he likes to take punches, I suppose to get him fired up, but it might backfire if he's in with someone who can crack in return. I'm glad they stopped it, even though it is a bit on the controversial side, Witherspoon was pretty hosed.
it's a little to early to tell if he is legit or not, but, I enjoy watching him fight. and in todays division, thats worth something.
I don't think he hits that hard, but I've always liked him more than most of the folks on here. He's like a double-sized Juan Diaz.
He looks sloppy. But sometimes good fighters do. He did the job and that's what counts. He can't punch proper, but he keeps his hands up, doesn't mind taking a few in an exchange, and has pretty damn good timing. He's like a taller, less talented David Tua.
You call Arreola sloppy than pimp Tye Fields? Are you ****ing insane? Arreola is legit, and honestly Whitherspoon was better than I thought as well, tough SOB. Bull**** DQ, let the fighters end it. It robbed Arreola of a legit KO, or Chazz a chance to come back.. that could of been a classic if it continued on.
Arreola has gotten better each fight that I have seen him in. He was loose with his punches and defense but Chazz has no power to speak of. FWIW I am a Chazz fan but he will never be great.
Hes a crude taller version of David Tua IMO. Anyone with a decent and discipline jab will school him for 12 rounds.
I don't think he throws short punches, to me they are a bit rounded. He needs to work on his D, he is definately fun to watch, especially for a heavy. I think he will make some noise in the division
A fight against someone like Kevin Johnson might answer some questions. Grebfan9 www.firstroundboxing.com
Cedric Kushner said that his fighter, David Tua, will be fighting the winner. If you can believe CK, bring on Tua vs Arreola!
