Arreola is the real deal

Arreola turned down a fight with Vlad after Haye duck out of fight. However, Vitali might fight Arreola or Haye next. We will see.

 

Totally agree. If he could take Wlad's best punch and keep coming, he has a small chance which I don't think he can.

The only thing Arreola has on a 2005 Peter would be height. I think their reach is the same. I know Peter has a very long reach for his height.

Moreover, Wlad was just getting comfortable with his new style. He's a much more confident and polished fighter in 2009 than he was in 2005. The footwork is the biggest difference imo. Much more fluid in his movements. He has mastered using his left to control his opponents movements too.

 

I agree that some are too hard on Arreola, but Tony Thompson would whip poor Chris...the tiger is a very smart "spoiler" type fighter...I honestly think Tony Thompson is probably the best all round American Heavyweight currently...his defense is very good, his chin is excellent, he uses his height well, and he's a southpaw.

But I like Chris very much and I think his power and his overall toughness would make him a tough and difficult fight for anyone not named Klitschko.

 

I said the samething as scar a month or two back, Arreola is a poor man's Sam Peter. Peter's got the more proven chin, as well as power, better hand speed, as well as overall boxing ability as we seen when he fought Toney a few years back.

Arreola's got a punchers chance against Wlad, but thats about it. He's too slow to get to Wlad, and is too fat and out of shape to sustain it, even if he did get through Wlad's top notch defensive guard.

 

Fighting bums? Are you serious? If so then you're ******ed. You want to talk about fighting bums? Your boy Arreola hasn't faced anybody that was actually good. His biggest win was against a way OUT OF SHAPE Mccline who was looking for a payday for his final fight. Mccline was in a very good shape and prepare well vs Peter.

 

Brewster, Sanders are weaker punchers?

 

Dude, you just lost all credibility with this statement...did you watch any of these fights? Do you realize that Corrie and Lamon are two of the hardest punching heavyweights over the last 20 years? Corrie Sanders was probably the most avoided fighter in the heavyweight division during his career.

Also, Lamon is having lots of trouble now getting a fight because of his chin and his freakish power...too much risk for the reward.

 

You're nuts, dude...everyone is entitled to their opionion, but every fighter that I have spoken to all say that Lamon is currently the hardest puncher in the heavyweight division...including your boy Chris...I've heard stories where fighters have pissed themselves after getting hit by lamon during sparring.

You should watch some of his fights...his combinations are beautiful to watch.

 

I disagree, Lamon can punch, but he's certainly not the biggest hitter in the division. I been following Lamon since 2000 when I seen him fight live against Clifford Eitenne in Pittsburgh, he fought on the Spadafora undercard.

He is a good puncher, but both Liakhovich and Eitenne went to war with him and came out on top, against Meehen I had the fight a draw. Liakhovich was knocked out cold by Briggs and it was clear Shannon had more of an effect on Sergei with his punches. Eitenne went on to get knocked out by Tyson and Oquendo if my memory serves me.

I would rank Peter, Wlad, Vitali, Arreola, and Briggs over Brewster in the power department. Thats just my opinion though, but I have been a huge fan of Brewsters and watched all his fights from 2000 on.
