I guess when Tyson lost his first fight to Buster he didn't care about winning because he didn't cry? Valuev didn't cry after his first loss to Chagaev I guess he didn't care about breaking Marciano's record? :huh

Arreola fought a brave fight I just see a double standard when the Klits are critisized when they win and Arreola is praised for a loss. Yeah fair enough, I should not have poked fun at CA's crying but I'm sure I'll continue to read about how the Klits are "Quitschko's" "Klitschko sisters" "Could never beat an all time great" blah, blah, and there won't be nearly the outrage in comparison to pointing out how Arreola cried after losing.

I'm sure Arreola will be back stronger than before :good

i dont think theres any shame in crying when you lose at something you love that your doing to support you and your family. However i am getting a little sick of these posters getting on here and praising arreola for what happened last night, he got destroyed, he pretty much just showed up and nothing more. I dont think he deserves any praise for that

whoever thought that arreola was our only hope must have been smoking some good ****....all the critics and boxing writers i know knew this was gonna be a blowout...even saying chris would get koed in 2-3 rds...he lasted 10 so thats a moral victory in itself....unless a clone of tyson circa 85-86 is made...there will never be an american hw champ unless one of the K'S retire...

The only thing Arroela did do last night was show he could take a punch and has heart. I would be a billionaire if I got a nickel everytime I heard that one about a fighter. So he has those 2 qualities, now why is it that I should praise him in losing so badly, being so outclassed, and then crying afterward???

And why is it I cant make fun of him for doing this either?? You guys are like the FCC for boxing, picking and choosing who you can and cant make fun of and what can be made fun of. So arbitrary, so hypocritical. Some of these people calling me out for making light of the crying, will be the first to poke fun at Floyd if he ever loses, or make fun of one of the K's if they were ever to lose again.

The only thing he blew was his nose after all that crying, he never had a chance.

And so what I'm from Europe and I like the brothers I don't believe they are the GOATs they obviously aren't. And I don't see any reason for everybody to like them. I mean you still live in a free country everybody decides for himself

there is no comp right now in the hw division....all fighters know that if u wanna be a boxer the money is in the lower weight classes....the klits came along at the right time when ppl like. prime holyfiled, prime lewis, prime bowe, prime mercer, moorer, **** even tommy morrison would have washed them up in the time they were fighting...

Not a beast and have/do cry. There are times and places for everything. That was neither the time nor the place for the tear fest after Mr. Machismo said he was going to take the title and after he said he wasnt getting respect for having a chance. So wrong about taking the title, and completely out of it thinking he had a chance. A chance means he could have actually won. The only way that was going to happen is if Vitali didnt show up.

Bullsh!t. In that moment Arreola won a hell of a lot of respect and likely increased his stock amongst true fans of the sport in much the same way Vitali did when he fought Lewis.

Through Arreola's actions he (and I, for perhaps the first time) truly understood what it takes to be on top of the game. He knows now what he has to become if he wants to achieve his dream and that moment of clarity he realised that what he has now isn't good enough. The weight of failed ambition was on his shoulders and it was no doubt a very humbling and human experience.

Whatever way you look at it he gave the world champion one of his toughest fights and would have continued had the fight not been stopped. He kept coming forward, kept attacking, showed he had the stamina, heart and self belief and now needs to go and work on those attributes that proved lacking.

Arreola learned a tough lesson but there were no losers in that fight.

On last night's evidence there was no way Haye would have faired any better and lame excuses aside ducking both brothers now seems like an incredibly smart thing to have done in pursuit of an easier road to the top. Chris brought excitement to the heavyweight division that Haye promised and reneged on and he still has a great future ahead of him.
