Chris Arreola can really go far in the heavyweight division, but he needs to really dedicate himself and come into the ring in spartan condition everytime. For him to gain 20 pounds in the 2 months since his last fight shows he is slacking off in his training, because if you were in the gym and doing your roadwork the past 2 months, you wouldn't be able to put on 20 pounds of fat. He can get away with it against opponents like faced on Thursday night, but not against anyone in the top 5.
Right after Barrett get rid of invincible Fileds (40-1-0), Wladimir beat Thomson, Povetrkin Chambers and Golota annihilated Mollo .... Arreola is definitely the best US prospect. To shame he joined Toney and Peter in a race who will beat the Butterbean's weight in the shortest time.
he was chunky but looked good. He's gonna be a handful for anyone. But he should be careful with his out of ring habits.:smoke :smoke
Trainers need to think outside the box if they have talented yet lazy fighters. Hire Martina Navratolova as a modivational trainer. She was a talented, mentally fragile, overweight prospect when she was young, then dedicated herself to conditioning both body and mind and became an ATG.
He has been hanging around James Toney too long. He will not be able to come into a fight in that shape against any of the beltholders and win.
