His work ethic isn't the problem, obviously he's an extremely hard worker to reach the level he has and have the stamina he does at his size, his problem is his self control and diet, the guys needs a personal chef and someone on his ass at all times

Its beating a dead horse at this point. If Arreola isnt going to get in shape for the big fights, he wont ever get in shape. Every fight the fans say the something thing, and he just doesnt do it. Its not going to happen unfortunately

He should have taken this into consideration a while ago. He got beat by a former light-HW. That's embarrassing! And based on this win, Adamek might have a shot at Klitschko(s). Hope it's not Wladimir though.

I dont think hes damaged goods, maybe you just chose the wrong words i think his stock has plummeted a little at least with HBO and any title shots in the near future, but ability wise he is not damaged in any way i mean this fight was pretty even IMO. Still cant think of many heavyweights that could beat him.

Any ways i agree with the TM, i dont think Arreola is gonna come in at 230 i agree that he thinks all is fine, but you know what he would have finished Adamek had he been 20 or 25 lBS lighter, i have no doubt about it. He is still a very capapble fighter at 250 but what he fails to realize is that he could be a champion if he got to 230, maybe not beating the Klitchko but if he was 230 he would definitely beat everyone else including David Haye.

Supposedly he was in the best shape of his life which means that he is just a complete disgrace !!!

The worse part is that he was offended that more fans didn't show up in his backyard....he is a damn disgrace !!!

The problem is that I really think he was in pretty good shape last night so I really don't know if getting down to 230 is realistic for someone 6'4 with his figting style. The real issue that people may not want to face is that he may be as good as he'll ever get...which is good enough to beat top 20 HWs but not to hold a belt.

Agree, Areola might have beat Adamek if he were lighter. Turn some of that fat into muscle, and then cut the rest, and he'd be able to move around a lot more. He can't stalk too well having to lug around all that extra weight.

When he wore the weighted vest for the Vitali fight's weigh-in, that was ******ed. I can understand it being funny if he really were lean but joking about being heavy when he was still actually flabby was stupid. "**** look how much I weigh! But wait! Let me take off this weighted belt!! Look now... ah ****, i'm still fat underneath it."

That was a very telling moment in his mental strength and the standards he sets for himself.

Perhaps thats the wakeup call. I'll give him one more chance. Probably dumb for doing so but it doesn't matter really. I'd just like to see him succed becuase he would be good for boxing if he where a legit contendor

Well no ****, buddy, but it's not gonna happen. If he couldn't do it against vitali which was the biggest fight of his career, and if he couldn't do it against Adamek which was probably the 2nd most important fight of his career, then you might as well give up hope because it ain't happening, bro. Stick a fork in that sausage because he's done as a top contender. :deal

There's no doubt Arreola's weight hurt him against Adamek. He simply refuses to get in the proper condition to win against top fighters. He should be coming in somewhere in the mid to upper 230s and in his two biggest fights he's come in 250. I don't see Arreola getting into proper shape for future fights. I think its downhill from here for Arreola. He's going to sink a promising career due to a lack of self restraint.

He's getting fatter. I think he was just happy to receive the small amount of hype he did, and landing those two fights for decent money is about as far as he can or even wants to go in the sport. I still think peter is a better fighter than him, as far as fat sluggers go.
