I hate to admit this - being a big Toney fan - but this is right on the money...I was feeling embarrassed for him watching it. Maybe he wasn't feeling well or just had a really "off" night....if not, and the Oquendo fight is a true reflection of his current skills..........it's time to call it a (great) career.

 

Are you serious, he's ranked at no.1, how the **** did that happen? I should probably be no.2 then because I've fought ****ing nobody either.

 

Toney v. Booker did qualify as an eliminator under similar circumstances a few years back... Anyway, people defending these corrupt, pointless rankings can't be taken serious anymore.

dude, didn't people complain about Maskaev getting his shot with the rock, even though he won it the hard way with his fists. Heck he got screwed over, Toney was ranked below him and Maskaev fought the eliminator and won, then Toney fights the Rock and Maskaev has to wait around to fight him and everone say " well damn he has to fight his bum because he won these fights instead of getting their with his mouth, damn it" and then he KTFO the Rock. Then he gets hurt and has to get figh Peter after being in bed rest, not training no nothing, pretty much got out of bed rest and gave Peter a decent fight, which i think is pretty good considering. So if Maskaev is in shape and Arreola takes him lightly, I'd say Arreola is going to get TKO'ed in he take it serious it could be a good fight.

 

If the rumors of JT making one last effort to get in shape are true, I could easily see this fight being a replay of Pavlik - Hopkins. Easily.
