A bid to make a fight between Cris Arreola (35-2, 30 KO) and Bermane Stivernem (22-1-1, 20 KO) will take place on 3 Septmeber. The winner of this fight will gain status of official challanger for the WBC HW championship.

The bid was supposed to take place in June, but Arreola didn't give his medical results on time. This year the American has fought only once, stopping Eric Molina.

finally it looks a fight between the top contenders will take place :deal

Both these frauds have been doing nothing just waiting for Vitali to retire and now they thinks it's the time.

    Could be fun to watch.

You know this is a sad time in boxing, however, when none of the challengers ever call out the champions...

Arreola is easy to hit and Stiverne's got a killer of a left hook... I'm picking Bermane.

It's that Arreola doesn't have a decent jab, because he wouldn't be able to miss Stiverne.

Can you imagine Stiverne actually winning and having to face Vitali?!

Yeah it's disgusting. Why do you think it would be Arreola vs Adamek though? He's in the IBF tournament and win or lose i don't see him being involved in the WBC disgracefest.

Winner would become mandatory and if Vitali retires before Arreola/Stiverne takes place then it will be changed to a title fight for the vacant belt, they've been waiting for this exact moment all along trying to time it perfectly. What you suggested with them simply elevating the mexijoke to full champion without fighting anyone also seems possible.

Stiverne hits like an absolute freight train. If he lands on Vitali, there goes the iron chin myth.

Arreola, as much as I hate him, is too active for Stiverne. Stiverne was getting outclassed by Ray Austin for quite a while.

Kind of a dream scenario. Mitchell is the underdog vrs. Banks as far as I'm concerned--let him get past that fight first.

Apparently Tyson Fury is also trying to get at that WBC belt. There are a number of guys that will contest that title.
