Lennox Lewis is the last Undisputed Heavyweight champion. Wlad has a chance to become the next Undisputed Champion, his only problem that Wilder wants nothing less than the Undisputed championship belt...so it will be a battle, unless Wlad walks away :sad2
big stiverne fan here...and he won pretty easily first time around....BUT he has not fought since then....how prepared physicly will he be? what about mentally? has he been in intesne training the whole time? or just sitting and waiting? i think this will be the difference in this fight this time round...i think chris has a better chance this time, even though ill be rooting for stiverne
arreolla...even in shape is still seriously flawed. stiverne beat him because he had better skill and technique and was able to use arreollas aggression against him. it'll be the same this time around.
Who else is fighting on this card? Haven't heard a single name yet and it is only about 5 weeks away. Very strange??
This just shows the poor state of the hw division right now. In the early and mid 90`s these guys wouldve been considered nothing more than tomato cans yet here we are and theyre fighting for The HEAVY WEIGHT TITLE on BSPN:-(
and he won't own it in the near future winner of Arreola/Stiverne has a mandatory against Wilder, then most likely the winner of that fight faces the winner of Jennings/Perez (if it gets finalised)
If this was for the real belt it wouldn't be taking place at USC, 5pm local time, and broadcast on ESPN. Well Stiverne is a Don King fighter and Arreola is a Golden Boy fighter, both of which have deep political ties to the WBC. Stiverne is King's best heavyweight and Arreola is Golden Boy's best heavyweight. Personally I think it's all a setup. These two are going to fight, one will win (well, should, a draw is worst-case scenario for all parties), and then the winner gets Wilder who I think everyone hopes wins for the sake of selling tickets and creating a new star. Arreola has been around, does not play key roles in Golden Boy cards, and would likely lose to Random Eastern European contender (although I imagine the WBC will do all they can to keep eastern Europeans out of title matches). Stiverne meanwhile rarely fights because his promoter is Don King.
