Even though Stiverne pummeled Arreola in the last fight I think this one could be a barn burner. Arreola knows this is probably his last shot at a title and being the first Mexican world heavyweight champion means everything to him. Really looking forward to this one. If Arreola loses he will go down swinging.

Was it a good one, the first time it happened? :huh

It was okay, but we have seen plenty of better heavyweight fights just in ten months since.

I will not be surprised, at all, if Arreola knocks Stiverne out in the rematch. Arreola wanted the rematch before the box-off because he knows he can knock Stiverne out. Arreola outboxed Stiverne early, then Stiverne landed a big lucky punch that broke Arreola's nose. Arreola got up but the blood cut his sight and breathing. However, in one round, I think it was the 8th, Arreola had Stiverne on the ropes and could have finished him if not for the broken nose..........Arreola has the chin and power to knock Stiverne out, no doubt about it. I think he will train hard for the rematch, can't wait to see it........

The WBC clearly wants Arreola to get a shot at their belt so that'll be working in his favor here. Also, keep in mind that Chris was actually doing well before he fell asleep at the end of the 3rd(?) round.

I agree. I think Arreola has a good shot at KO'ing Stiverne. I was amazed Arreola was able to go the distance after getting his nose broken. He is one tough hombre.

I personally thought it was a great one. Why? Because I think Arreola is the better fighter. However, he got hit with a shot that would have KO'd 90% of opponents. Arreola, I believe, takes the rematch.

I had the sense just about anything could have happened at any time in the first one. It kept me on the edge of my seat. The second one will deliver.

Stiverne could easily stop Arreola, if he pushed for it. People can't make excuses for a broken nose. The final round between the 2, showed how much damage could be inflicted on Arreola. He was beaten to a pulp.

He was born in LA and fights out of Riverside. How exactly would he be a Mexican heavyweight champion?

I can't see what Arreola can do differently so I expect a repeat of the first fight, with an outside chance of Stiverne stopping him late.

Yes Arreola had his nose broken but that was at the end of the 3rd round which he was already losing and had only thrown 19 punches so his work rate had already dropped due to stiverne's movement and power. The broken nose did not effect Arreola's work rate it was Stiverne that was stopping him from being active and aggressive.

Yes Arreola could show up in better shape but he's notoriously lacking in self discipline and he showed up at a lower weight than any of his previous losses. Also Stiverne was 10lbs heavier that the year before so he was in bad shape as well.

Only chance Arreola has is if the year off has made Stiverne rusty and out of shape and shows up ill prepared. If the Stiverne from the last fight shows up, Arreola will lose again.
