A lot about Arreola Stiverne depends on who shows up in shape. I hope they both do. It'll be a great fight. Back to my question. When is this gonna happen? Feb 15th can't be the date. If one wants it in LA and one in NY, do it in Chicago.
OK if your argument was logical please explain why Arreola only threw 19 punches in round 3? His nose wasn't broken yet, he can't having been gassing that early, not even he is that out of shape. Yes a broken nose could have effected his work rate after the 3rd round but his work rate had already dropped before the broken nose. Logic would dictate it was something Stiverne was doing to cause the drop in work rate from Arreola as the nose at that point was a non factor. So please explain how a nose breaking at the end of a round effects the 2 mins 50 seconds or so prior to that moment. McCline was not top ten at the time, he was retired, the only reason he fought Arreola was for the money. McCline said so himself and he didn't fight again for well over a year after the Arreola loss. The fact one of Arreola's best wins is against a fighter who was dragged out of retirement says everything about Arreola. McCline has lost 3 of his 4 previous fights, was overweight and lost 3 of his next 5 fights. Hardly a win anyone should be praising. McCline didn't almost beat Peter the year before, he fought Peter in 2007 and Arreola in 2009. Also McCline was already 37 when he fought Peter a couple of years is a long time for a fighter who is in his late 30's. McCline was no where near top 10. Arreola has not beaten any top opposition so your premise that he has is ridiculous. McCline was probably not even top 20 when he fought Arreola and based upon the fact he would go on to lose to a journeymen in Harold Sconiers may not have even been top 25. Mitchell was already exposed by Banks and was never anything but a prospect and an exposed prospect at that. Arreola's resume is basically journeymen/shot former contenders and chinny prospects and then a few losses to any decent opponent he has faced. He lost to a cruiser in Adamek for Christ sake this is the same Adamek who was lucky to beat Chambers and Cunningham.
I see a determined Arreola going all out in the rematch. He may get knockdown again, but he's no chicken- and Stiverne saying he will knock him out this time -fuels his revenge. This will be a battle. When the hell is this fight?
Personally I do not see any need for a rematch unless they plan on robbing Stiverne and giving it to Arreola. Stiverne is quite simply a class above. Its like him getting a rematch against Vitali . . . pointless
No little man, it will always be you, poster child of adult's who shouldn't be able to vote or serve on a jury. And if you were intelligent enough to get 4 when you add 2 and 2, you'd see that Peter's career, while lesser, had obvious parallels to Frazier's, but you're frankly too stupid for me to bother explaining
Go back and finish your debate with Brighton Bomber who schooled you to within an inch of your life, BUM.
Son, you've already been schooled, so give it up, and whatever you do, don't mention logic again, you've shown you have none. Paragraph 1 response: I already stated, Arreola LANDED as many punches as Stiverne, until the last 3 seconds, it was a close round going Stivernes way. Paragraph 2: See part 1. Also, his ability to press the action and successfully compete was what dropped off after the 3rd round, if you can't understand that a broken nose will severely impact your performance, you're just helpless and don't belong on a boxing blog Paragraph 3-5: I've already stated this. So what if he had been in retirement, 18 months before(sorry, a year and a half, not a year, big deal) he dropped the top non K in the business 3 times. He was robbed in a close one against Ruiz, another top 5 HW, and lost by injury to Valuev, another top 5 HW. McCline was a clear top 15 guy, can argue he was top 10, and was brutally dismantled in a way he'd never been before. As far as losing to Sconiers, so what, most top contenders have the occasional embarrassing loss along the way, are you one of the "Wlad is horrible because of Purrity" people? Or how about Dempsey is horrible because he lost to Jack Downey? Imbecile. Overall, McCline and Mitchell clear top 20 opposition brutally destroyed, he beat a slew of top 50 level HW competition on top of that in dominant fashion. Again, you are an imbecile to suggest you need to beat a current top 10 HW to be a top 10 HW, that would leave only 3 contenders (among them, Adamek, who you insult, who is one of 2 contenders to beat multiple clear top 10 guys) as top 10 fighters right now for having beaten clear top 10 opponents. Give it up, son, you've got nothing.
Little boy, sit this one out, it really can't get any worse for you. Meanwhile, the other moron had nothing new for me, but I repeated gave him back the facts that shot him down again.
arreola has balls! but he has to be on his game to beat stiverne! His trainer should hire sparring partners who can move good around the ring and teach arreola to cut off the ring and not follow someone around. Stiverne was always first with his attack ...
stiverne was in top shape! He didnt stop training even though the fight got postponed like 2 or 3 times
Arreola has beat no one to deserve his wbc ranking and honestly would much rather see Stiverne fighting Fury for the vacant *******jack belt. Should be reletively entertaining though, but expect another Stiverne win.
