iv seen them both fight a few times..and from what i see arreola would most likely ko haye..early, .im not sold on haye as a heavyweight..arreola can take punishment..as well as give it..im not sure i can say the same about haye.
Arreola really sucks. He poor skills, and appears to have little dedication. While Haye is still sort of an unproven heavy, I think he's miles ahead of that fat clubber.
I spy with my little eye something beginning with H. A Haye hating thread? So transparent. How on earth could anyone with eyes, having watched both haye and Arreola box, conclude that Arreola would KO Haye early?:think
Cant even compare the two fighters. Haye cleared out the cruiserweight division, and got a fight with Wlad after 2 fights at heavy and 23 pro fights. Come on now. Hes a class act. Even if he loses to wlad which he most likely will, hes still a class fighter with speed, skills, power, charisma and heart. Arreola's a decent heavy but thats it. Fat. Poor skills and untested at any decent level
Haye wins this fight ... too fast ... too skilled ... too strong Arreola is good but he's too sloppy and gets hit too much ...
Arreola. Bigger, tougher, better fundamentals, better chin . Haye would have one or two rounds to take Arreola out, then he'd be toast .
It's misleading to compare Arreola & Haye as Heavy v Cruiser - they are similar in age and spent a lot of their amateur careers as LH. The simple difference is that Haye boiled down (after winning amateur silver at heavy) and cleaned up the Cruisers and Arreola swelled up to "super" heavy. In reality they are both heavies it's just that one is in shape and one isn't - bad match for Arreola.
Fat boy takes it because he has a better chin, harder punch, and bigger balls than David Gaye...I mean Haye!
I dont really know what Arreola has done to get all the cudos he gets. Haye has a distinguished amateur career with accolades at the highest level. He cleaned out the cuiserweight division. He's faster, more athletiic, just as many fights and I think power. Anybody who says Arreola outworks Haye over 12 rounds is deluded. Chris, may be a good fighter but based on the fact all his fights have come at Heavyweight what has he achieved in that time. When he comes to the ring in shape, give me a shout and I'll take him seriously because if he feels a better fighter coming in a bit heavier, np probs with that. But does it all have to be blubber?
I really think Haye is the 3rd best heavy in the world rigtht now. The only guys I'd be worried about are the the Klits. He would knock arreola out inside 5 rounds.
