I think with Arreola's much quicker hands, that his body is acclimated to taking punches, overall boxing ability, great chin, and size and strength could lead him to a win over Lesnar. I know people will tell me I'm an idiot and the ground game, bla bla bla, but people will think differently when Carwin, (if the fight takes place), knocks Lesnar out, standing up.
Outta all the things you quote, you quote the most obvious difference between Lesnar and Arreola and it has to do with technique and handspeed. But alright....
Arreola is NOT the guy to represent boxing. The guy is fat and out of shape. He's not a very good boxer. He's tough with some pop. If he can't dedicate himself to one art I strongly doubt he'll learn a single new skill. Lesnar's not stupid. He'd immediately shoot and then begin to cause pain.
So if the former NCAA Division II national wrestling champion knocks out the former NCAA Division I national wrestling champion in an MMA fight it proves how Chris Arreola, a boxer, would do in an MMA fight against the former NCAA Division I national wrestling champion?
Yeah, I know what you mean. There was some other gotard a while back who went on and on about how Arreola would beat Lesnar. I can't remember his name either.
Arreola could be the next Mark Hunt of mma, if he cross trains in mma of coarse. But Lesnar stomps him if shoots without engaging in the standup 1st. Though i'd like to see a better athletic boxer like David Haymayker Haye transition to mma.
