If he dedicates himself to proper training, works on some inside fighting, and works on his head movement I think he can be a champ after the klitschkos retire in a couple years. Anyone else think so?
nope, i don't! why, because if he wanted to be a heavyweight champion like vitali he wouldn't blow up like a ****ing hot air balloon and then expect to lose 30-40 pounds in 6 weeks training and fight and win a heavyweight title. he does however, can box as he's shown in the past. he can deliver great powerful combinations but with his **** IT attitude he'll never amount to nothing more than a journeyman.
I wouldn't be surprised if he and Sam Peter had a similar career. Tough chin, wicked punch, might show improvement here and there but regress, won't train well consistently, get a hold of a title and lose it after a short time. It wouldn't surprise me if Arreola does about exactly what Peter has done. He's got the tools to get there but not stay there.
He will be back, his got the heart of a lion. I have no doubt about it. However, I'll like to see him with a more experienced trainer.
Please don't compare Arreola to that punching bag Peter. Arreola tried to do something. Peter was just a fat, walking punch bag.
