... so you scored the rounds to Sam for his mean face? Exactly which punches landed by Peter in those first two rounds did you feel pulled the round out for him?
I´m a Wlad fan but I´m appalled that Wlad is now going to fight a fighter whose best win is Travis Walker.
Also, catch the huge left hook that Peter landed on Wlad's jaw towards the end of the 3rd... that didn't do a damn thing to wlad.
There is no way a normal human being can score the first 2 rounds for Peter in that figth even if he breaths fire like a dragon.
You would rather him fight nobody until the Povetkin fights happens in 9 months? Tell me, which other available fighter would you rather him fight?
The obvious preparation fight for Wlad would be fast-rising Dimentrenko. He like Wlad is very tall, has a great jab and tends to get knocked down a fair bit but gets back up to win. He doesn't hit as hard as Wlad but goes to the body more than Wlad. He finished off his last opponent with a body shot. Overall, a slightly less dangerous mirror image of Wlad at least in physical attributes. The perfect opponent to push him toward "A level."
Chris Arreoloa is a better opponent then any of the more known but recycled heavyweights like Rahman, Oquendo, Guinn or Williamson. And concidering the fact that this is a stay busy fight for Wlad before facing the real challenger Povetkin then I have to say its a pretty darn good fight.
LOL so you claim you had Trinidad 6-5-1. You know what I tend to agree Tito was robbed against Oscar just like Peter was against Wladimir.
Haye - Only two wins at Heavyweight which came against fringe top 40 fighters. Just moved up from Cruiserweight one fight ago... I already see the excuses after the fight. Toney - Has only manged to record 3 wins in his last 8 fights, two of which were controversial split decisions against extremely low level comp. 40 years old, has been subpar for quite some time, and poses NO threat to Wlad. Wlad gets no credit for this win either. Hell, Sam Peter doesn't even get credit for beating Toney. Those guys are more deserving than Arreola? An exciting knockout artist, who is undefeated, and has beat higher ranked contenders than BOTH Haye and Toney? Gomez is forcing his mandatory status in the WBC... there is no chance for a fight there. Even if there was... it isn't as if Gomez.. who everyone remember for being sparked out by the awful Diaz, has really made crazy noise in the division, making it a bigger or better fight for Wlad anyways. You really aren't using any logic.
