from that pic I thought he was about 280 or so. His trainer said his target weight is 245. How are they going to lose 45 plus pounds of blubber in 7 weeks? This is pathetic.

If that is true then Arreola is pathetic. How a professional athlete can disgrace himself like that. i award him no points and may Vitali have mercy on his soul.

thats fine and all he does look heavy perhaps they are making it seem worse than what it actually is though? I mean you do know they can also start the mind games now in hopes to make Vitali think its a walk in the park.

He can quite easily lose 1/2 a pound a day . I expect he will lose it a bit faster and come in around 260. He must put in the road work carefully.

Yo that video had me laughin.. Anyway I think its disrespectful to the sport of boxing when boxers do this. I mean this sport is a way of life while your in it. You should keep yourself in decent shape between camps so they can focus on improvement. Hell, a real boxer should make training a part of his life and not just train for fights!

So Arreola fights Vitali September 26. He's been training for 2 weeks and he's got about 6 to go? So, thats about 8 weeks of training . He weighed 255 for his last fight, and weighs 297 now. So he would have to lose 40 pounds in 6 weeks just to get back where he was (fat) in his last fight. If he was really in shape he'd probably weigh 230.
I like Chris, but he has obviously made a choice. He has chosen gluttony over his boxing career. Vitali will exploit this, and brutally so.

  13. I've never understood why elite fighters who stand to make millions if they win a few fights impressively do this to themselves. Plus, he has the hopes of a lot of Mexican fight fans riding on his shoulders. He needs to stay focused.

I heard a fat kid use to steal Wladimirs lunch money as a kid. Until big brother took care of business.
