I am going to be the first to say it. Cristobol is enormously overrated, with American fans seeming to flock to him because he is American. On the plus side, he is big and he is powerful. But... his reutation is made off beating Chazz Witherspoon, who is a family name and nothing more. There is, as yet, no evidencence that chris can beat someone decent. Arreola constanly comes in overweight, and I hear now that he is at a carreer high. His skills are crude, and his chin is untested. There is a lot of disrespect for Travis Walker on these boards, but he beat Jason Estrada, who is a better fighter by far than Chazz Witherspoon. Lets call the upest here.
well he's no Mike Tyson but......he's a good HW fighter, a B maybe B+ if you consider the competition he has a good punch, and a good punch output.....dont know how good his chin is though
He was exposed somewhat in the witherspoon fight, he gets frustrated easily against a jabs, but his weak defense tempts the boxer to become a brawler and BAM he has him right where he wants his guy. I dont know anything about walker, but any fighter who is a disciplined jabber would easily school Arreola, particularly a Sultan Ibragimov type fighter.
Who's flocking to him? HBO is trying to push him because he is an up and coming American HW prospect who, as an added demographic bonus, happens to be Latino, but is anyone really buying it? I'm not.
you know what, its his guts and desire that i like. He is smaller than most , but never allows it to be a flaw in his make up. The only thing he lets himself down with i think is, i would love to see him look a bit more athletic.. He always comes across as a bit too much Tacobell for me... But he is indeed one of the best American based heavyweights around today and if he ever made the call to fight Friday in his near future i would love the match.. because he is very credible..
What??By Walker?Or do you mean he is a hypejob waiting to ge beaten?I really doubt Walker will beat him but it's obvious Wlad or Vitali would brutalise him.
