I always figured Cotto vs Foreman was on the undercard of the Mercante comic show. :D

  6. Haha yeah he did some weird things that night.

    ^^

word.... but sometimes weird funny sht happens unexpectedly in boxing and you just gotta play it by ear

why do you think he was so bad with that fight? at least he let foreman continue lol

  8. He was just trying to make a storyline for himself in that fight in my opinion.
He should have stopped it the first time foremans corner threw in the towell. Even though foreman showed a lot of heart when he tore his knee up. He was way behind on the cards moving on 1 leg taking punishment from cotto. It was like a wounded animal trying to get away. I thought foreman was very brave for this but as areferee you should step in and say enough si enough. yet he encouraged him on. continue no no the fight goes on... What if he had suffered a permanent injury that owuld have ended his career, or what if he got some lucky punch in and knocked cotto out, that would have been terrible because foremans corner threw in the towell first. It was a big risk he took for little reward because the fight wasnt close at all, it was cotto dominating and trying to finish foreman. He just wanted to make a storyline in it for himself and it annoyed me how the commentators didnt call him out for it yet even praised him.

that i remember, the knee incident was after the towel?

but he did have some grounds... he said he didnt want the kid to lose the title in such a cheap way

Personally I am not a fan of Cortez. By the way the worst ref ever has to be that guy who referee'd Opke when he was contstantly headbutting Robin Reid. Most corrupt referee I have ever seen.

Check out Frank Cappuccino in the Bernard Hopkins-Morrade Hakkar fight. He was hilarious. It was in Philly and Hakkar got legitmately knocked down and he called it a slip. Hakkar wanted out of there and he wouldn't let him! Classic quote from him "Stay outta the corners, they're real wet!"

I thought Robert Byrd did not referee the Hopkins-Wright fight well. He seemed biased towards Hopkins in all honesty.

  15. I think the knee was before the towell, I dont see it as a cheap way, foreman had lost almsot every round and was being beaten up badly. It wasnt cheap he just got beat it happens.
He wa sjust trying to make himself look cool and dominant in there.
