Hearns bombs him out in the first half of the fight.

Hearns by KO within 5. Hearns was much faster, bigger, and hit harder than Arguello. Arguello was able to hit Pryor with some huge shots. Pryor would not be able to take the same shots. If Pryor got cute and tried to survive he'd just eat a ton of jabs. I just don't see Pryor having a chance no matter what they mixed in a bottle.

I think Hearns, being a skeleton at 147, would overcome a body assault by the Hawk, and eventually assert himself. Tommy by 9th round KO. Pryor was lucky that their Golden Gloves match was only 3 rounds.

Wasn't Hearns fairly feather-fisted before Stewart got his hands on him?

Yes, it was Manny who taught him to harness the leverage in his punches. He only had 12 KO's in some 150-200 amateurs bouts. Not to mention he was a green as grass 17 year old against a 21 year old Pryor at the time of their bout.

I'm going with Pryor, He fought at a frenetic pace & Hearns didn't like fighting at that pace

Everyone's going to pick Hearns and he may win, but Pryor beat him convincingly in the AMs, would know how to fight him, know how to slip his jab, know how to get to him and put him under pressure at mid-range, knew he had the speed and pace to give Hearns problems and had 1 of the best chins around. And if it goes past 6-8 rounds Hearns will likely fade and be in trouble down the stretch. The 147lb weight and the improvements he made in the Pros certainly suits Hearns though

Hearns also handled movement better than Arguello.

I'll go with Tommy in a shockingly one sided 5-6 rounds.

Hearns gave Pryor a bloody nose right before the end of it.

They were talking about the taylor-pavlik amateur bout? Don't remember that 1. dont remember Taylors ability to slip punches either

Get off Pavvy's nuts for a second not everything in boxing revolves around the motor mechanic
