Hearns would have been too strong for him. Remember Pryor would be moving up.

Pryor would be dead meat if he ever fought hearns in the pro's. He be facing a more mature, stronger and more skilled fighter who also developed into a knockout artist. Hearns also became expert at using his jab as not only an offensive weapon, but for also keeping i\his opponents on the outside. The only way that pryor could fight hearns would be to get inside. He may have accomplished that against the amature hearns but not the pro version. Hearns would have taken pryors head off in a couple of rounds, whether he was coked up or not.

    Hearns destroys him.

When Hearns and Pryor fought as amateurs, Hearns didn't have a clue how to throw a punch with power behind it, but boy did he learn in the pros. And when you think about the sort of right hands Pryor left himself open to against Arguello... just imagine Hearns getting a chance to land his big right with those sort of openings. :scaredas:

Pryor fights bravely, but goes down in no more than 5.

Hearns in one or two rounds, showing Pryor the true meaning of coldcocked.

For as great as Pryor was,I dont give him much of a chance here.Pryor showed great whiskers against Arguello in the 1st fight, but also showed he can be dropped against Dujuan Johnson,Kameda,Cervantes who were could all punch but, nowhere near a 147lb Hearns. We have seen throughout the years that sucess against an opponent in amatuers does not equate to sucess at the pro levels. I think Hearns bombs out Pryor within 4 rounds. If pryor came foward hed get kod, and there is no way hed out box Hearns from ther outside.

If Pryor gets hit as much by Hearns as he did by Arguello, I don't see the fight getting out of the 1st half.

Given Hearns is WAY faster, has more reach, is way more aggressive and much much more you can bank on that.

Hearns by KO in three rounds. Too much of a physical mis-match. Did you not see Hearns-Duran?

The real question is why did Sugar Ray avoid Pryor like the plague. Because after sparring with him in the amateurs he knew Pryor would get to him and it would be a lose lose situation for Leonard considering his stature in boxing during both their heydays.:happy

First of all as amateurs Pryor barely defeated a 17 year old Hearns. He had a very tough time with him.

As a pro at 147 Hearns would have destroyed him. Terrible match up for Aaron.

The real question is how many minds has HBO's Legendary Nights polluted with its myths, half-truths, false facts, selected editing, and exaggerations?

If Pryor wanted it that bad, he should've signed the contract instead of insisting on making 20 times more than his previous career high payday rather than just 10 times more.
