It could have been a draw.

Good fight between two big, strong, teak tough hard hitting alpha males. Ghoul did enough to win but Egorov pushed him hard all the way and he displayed a rock solid chin. Such a shame Ghoul has literally wasted three years of his prime.

Those are solid wins. But Egorov and Merhy certainly aren't Usyk, Briedis, Lebdev, Gassiev, Huck, Drozd etc. They're the solid type of operators that CW has been filled with for a long time, but I wouldn't say beating them makes a fighter "special"

Time for unifications at CW. Goulamarian and Makabu aren't exactly spring chickens.

I favour the Ghoul. Don't think today was his best performance though.

Same here, that was a good fight. Merhy is a pretty good operator.

Okolie would beat both on the same night if he gets his ass out of Dubai and into camp with Shane McGuigan.

Definitely favor him over Makabu. The Octopus with home turf advantage is a big ask. Opetaias performance against Briedis was very impressive, so I'm not sure if i'd favor him in that one. All good fights where he certainly has a good shot at winning.

The Octopus is hard for any CW on the planet to deal with... Not only are you fighting him and his ugly style, but the ref, and handpicked judges.

That's a good win for Goulamirian after so long off

Seems that there are some issues between Hearn and Okolie, likely leaving to a split, so the "home" advantages might not actually be as much of a thing. That being said his style is still super awkward.

Pretty much what I saw. I thought Egorov outhustled him in at least 5 or 6 rounds. He never seemed to be in all that much trouble at all. I guess I'm in the minority, but that looked closer than 8-4 or 9-3 for Arsen.
