I don't think we will need the cards in this fight. Goulamarian will get him outta there before the final bell.

Merhy's corner told him to be more active to keep Merhy off, and he does do better this round. But Ghoulamirian got through with some big shots again and I'll give a close round to him.

 

Arsen Goul takes the 6th, even fight 3-3

 

Round 6 is quite close, with Merhy landing cleaner with the jab, hook and uppercut, and Arsen outworking and pressing. I've got Merhy shading a round that a lot of others would score the other way. 58-56

Merhy just spending too much time on the ropes. He has his moments still, but not enough.

Another close round, gave it to Merhy, he fought much better, probably realized he lost last 2 rounds so he came out fresher.

Merhy comes out aggressively, they exchange solid blows. Then the fight goes back to the old pattern, and Ghoulamirian does enough to take the round in my opinion.

 

Round 7: Another very close stanza. Goulimirian continues to press but Merhy counters well off the ropes with, you guessed it, cleaner sharper punches. Merhy round.

Round 8: Excellent round. Merhy rattles Arsen early with a sweet combo but AG comes back with a number of hard combos, some nice jabs and swinging hooks to take the frame. 5-3 RM but this could be scored the other way quite easily.

 

This is a damn good fight!
