    Hey Sean :p

I don't expect his chin tested that much because of his excellent defense. My guess is that Wilson will be exhausted after a few rounds of throwing big bombs and might get knocked out by accumulation of (soft) punches in the later rounds.

But I have to agree, a point victory seems to be more likely :yep

Ding has a very solid chin also, Ding knocks him out if they go toe to toe, no man can take dings power if they wanna trade

    Hi faustus!

Havent seen you here on esb for ages !

Wilson knocked out by Arslan? Not very likely! Far more likely that Wilson runs out of gas after 7-8 rounds!

It is really fascinating to watch a mediocre fighter like Arslan win fights against opponents who are head and shoulders above him in terms of skills, natural talent, and firepower.

Did you watch Drozd vs Arslan? Drozd taught Arslan a lesson in boxing within the first 2 rounds connecting with numerous powerful shots which would have taken out most present cruisers.Arslan took all this punches without going down or even blinking. Really amazing!
Tokarev ,too, connected with countless good shots and couldnt knock down or out his iron chinned opponent.
By the way Tokarev vs Arslan was one of the most exciting cruiser weight fights I have seen within the last 5-6 years.

Wilson can punch, but he isnt a bigger puncher than Drozd or Tokarev.
And unlike Arslan Wilson lost to Tokarev when they met in the ring.

I will root for Wilson and very much hope that he has a good game plan to upset Arslan and break his attack modus.
I very much doubt that Wilson will be able to stop Arslan, but Wilson looks great and seems to have trained properly for his upcomming title shot.
Wilson cant win the fight by going toe to toe with Arslan for 12 long rounds.Wilson cant beat Arslan by playing Arslan's cards.
Wilson has to break Arslan' s rytmus by all legal and illegal means.
:D Lets hope that Wilson has watched some tapes of John Ruiz' fights!

Hi Odo, yes haven't been here for a long time :hi:

Yes, in terms of defense and chin Arslan can be compared with a tank!!! Absolutely amazing. In terms of pure boxing skills I wouldn't even call him medicore.
No, unfortunately I didn't have the chance to watch Arslan-Drozd but I was really shocked about the outcome. I agree with you about Drozd and I for my part wouldn't have bet one single coin on Arslan in their encounter!!!
Due to this circumstances I wouldn't bet my money on Wilson too. Drozd is by far the stronger opponent and if he wasn't able to beat Arslan I can't see Wilson doing that. I agree with you Odo that the key for victory against Arslan is breaking his rythym but I strongly doubt Ding has the ability doing so.....but some Ruiz tapes might be helpful:yep

Anyway, an interesting, action-packed fight is waiting for us :D

The problem with Ding is his in love with his power and has to realise he needs to bring alot more than a punch and a chin to a fight. He rarely ever works his way inside with the jab and prefers to wing his way inside. Im going for Arslan on points but Ding certainly has a punchers chance.

Arslan is built like a greek statue. His physical conditioning is exemplary. His certainly a full fledged cruiser thats for sure.
