Frustrating to see Makhmudov wasting his prime. REALLY frustrating.

I want to see Makhmudov step it up soon. He's such an absurdly powerful brute. No question he'd make for some exciting fights.

He should just fight Simon Kean and complete his Canadian circuit and move onto some more dangerous contenders.

Yeah it is, guess this is what happens when you don't have a massive promoter behind you. Hopefully he just stays active until an opportunity comes along.

I don't get it though. Why has THE boogeyman of the division no chance to sign with a bigger promoter? Arum, Hearn are signing fake prospects left and right and this guy has no shot? Makes no sense to me. He must be caught/stuck in some shady contracts so he can't sign with another promoter. Otherwise i can't explain it to myself. He's 32 years old. Not 25. He's now getting into his prime and he probably has 3-4 years left in his prime...now or never.

Not a fan but i'd like to see him getting bigger fights against better opponents. I think he's a big tough guy who can probably hit through a cement wall. His cardio also looked pretty solid against Rice.

Hearn isn't interested in guys that aren't English an Arum doesn't really have much to do with the HW division sadly.

That's what happens when you're alligned with a sh*t promoter and operating out of a non-boxing country

Comes down to marketability I guess. From Russia, not a decorated amateur with world titles or Olympic medals to help promote him, I guess he doesn't speak English, he's already 32, he's a hard sell for any promoter. So the big promoters don't see the point of signing him.

If he does become someone that looks like they could be a contender then one of the big promoters will sign him or do a co promotional deal like Matchroom did with Hrgovic.

Best he can hope for right now is to just keep fighting regularly until he has a decent undefeated streak and hope when a fight falls through with a bigger name he gets the call to fill in.

Hrgovic is looking for an opponent and Makhmudov would definitely accept the fight because he is brave, it would be a great fight between two big and strong heavyweights...

Hrgovic is looking for an opponent for an IBF eliminator unless IBF decide to rank Makmudov that won't happen.
