...and Teper decides that discretion is the better part of valor and gets off his stool to walk across the ring and shake Makhmudov's hand.

    RTD1!!

Officially thrice, I believe. Yeah, nothing offered up by Teper.

Makhmudov grabs a mic and booms out "Bonjour Quebec!" in a deep silky bass. He then cuts a thankful promo, short and sweet, and exits the ring.

Can always get into radio if boxing doesn't work out. :sisi1

I'm not ready to anoint him the savior of HW, especially at 32 already with his best scalp being a well past it Sam Peter, but he is better than your average "prospect" in this division.

I can't wrap my head around him losing to Junior Fa in WSB, from what I've seen of both in the pros Makhmudov is much better. Anybody remember seeing that one? Robbery?

They were fairly close to standing eye to eye, although lots of slouching by Teper in his attempts to dive in and grab. I'd believe him being 6′4½″ if we accept 6′ 5½″ being correct for Makhmudov.

He's always been like that -- I've been assuming it's Tourette's, or something similar:
"Tourette Syndrome (TS) is a condition of the nervous system. TS causes people to have “tics”. Tics are sudden twitches, movements, or sounds that people do repeatedly. People who have tics cannot stop their body from doing these things."

Makhmudov is very fun to watch, but Teper has been dog**** ever since getting popped for peds. I don't think tonight means anything.

I still have no idea how high Mak's ceiling is but one thing I am sure of is his power is as legit as it gets and he's more than capable of taking anyone at the weight out with those heavy hands of his. I think he'll likely suffer at least one KO loss at the world level if he gets that far but by the same token I won't be in the least bit surprised if he wrecks any of the top boys in a round or two either.

If he makes it that far, and if cj's diagnosis is correct - would Makh be the first ever boxing champion with Tourette's?

Just did a quick Google search and there is one Muay Thai kickboxer, named Amir Khan (no relation), and this kid Zach "Tic 'N' Time Bomb" Rice, a super featherweight southpaw who debuted in February. Seems like an even unlikelier obstacle to be overcome than asthma (which former lineal HW champ Shannon Briggs had/has).

Nup, Fa schooled him and won every round. Made Makhmudov miss all night.

It looked even worse than it usually does today. He was doing it every few seconds but it's only really confined to when there's a break in the action for whatever reason and he feels like he's not in danger. It must be hard for him to concentrate as he's fighting off the urge to do that and his opponent.

I've always been a bit concerned Liam ''The Machine'' Williams might get caught with a huge shot mid tick while his eyes are closed.

I have even more bad news for you, there's a reason why I haven't been over the moon on Arslanbek. Fa beat him, Larduet was pretty badly robbed against him, Nistor wsa dominating him, and he lucked out with a come from behind KO, and even a 20 year old Vianello was more than holding his own before the injury to his ear.

Should have been Gassiev's fight. If nothing else, Teper is bigger than the iron man, so if would be a good fight for him in that he would at least continue to get experience against some bigger boys, even if one of them is a Turkish jelly roll.

Teper-Mahkmudov has not angle to spin at all. It was an overwhelmed guy coming in to collect a check without getting too much of his brain knocked out.
