I do that all time when watching fights.

The trick is to go spread eagle and keep your head facing forward.

Which means nothing. The older you get the worse your chin gets. The more punishment you take the less punishment you can take.

I would keep Makmudov away from Hughie Fury. But a kaybayel, a Bakole, or best yet an Ajagba, get blasted out in a few rounds

Ironic that if Makhmudov looked too good in this fight it would probably make it all the more difficult to line up his next one. How did his chin and stamina look?

What's ironic is if a fighter looks too good than people claim no one will fight them and be ducked. If he looks beatable suddenly that makes him over hyped, bum, ko waiting to happen, etc...

Mak did exactly what he needed to do, which is get Wach out of there, which his better than anyone ever did, but it's not good enough. I don't even know why most people watch boxing anymore, they clearly hate the sport and has zero respects for the fighters.

Journeymen Jonnie Rice (tall mover) and Wach (lumbering iron-chinned giant) have proven the toughest challenges for Makhmudov in the pros. Mak's chin also isn't the best if the amateurs are anything to go by (rocked badly by Nistor, starched by Omarov). I think Hughie is the toughest matchup of that group, Wallin second and the others are very beatable but still pose a certain amount of danger.

Makhmudov is a raw force, he is dangerous for everyone, somehow I would like to see him against Hrgovic...

Still not sure how high Arslan's ceiling is but his power is legit scary. Hate on him all you want but he possesses the thunder in his gloves to take out anyone at the weight and that includes the toughest most durable HWs out there

Sure Wach's a senior citizen at 42 and well past his best but Foreman was still iron-chinned at almost 49 y/o

And the best win of the #1 ranked HW Fury is a Wlad who was 39 y/o and close to 40

The best wins of the #3 ranked AJ is a 41 y/o Wlad and a 39 y/o Povetkin

The best of the #4 ranked HW The Bronze Dosser are an Ortiz who was a couple of weeks shy of his 39th birthday and 40 y/o for the rematch

And the #5 ranked HW Whyte was sparked out cold by a 40 y/o shot Povetkin

And if we're going to put Arslan's punch resistance under the microscope let's make sure we don't act like AJ hasn't been dropped and stopped multiple times

    Ditto for The Bronze Dosser

Fury has been dropped a bunch of times, a couple of times by non-punchers

And Whyte has been been dropped and stopped multiple times too

And make sure you also understand if Arslan detonates one of his bombs on any of their chins he can take them out early in savage fashion. Not saying he beats them or they couldn't potentially take him out too but best believe they'll poop a brick as soon as they feel that power.

Like I've said before, he might get taken out by one of the top boys or even before he gets to that level, but his power is ridiculous and he's capable of taking out anyone at the weight if he catches them and he won't even have to catch them right to do it either

Mak went out there and beat a 42 year old has been. Wach actually was never any good. He was just a big slow lumbering oaf. So Makhmudov has yet to prove anything besides he can beat up tomato cans.

His power is scary because he can knock out old me? I assume you was impressed by Tye Fields power as well right? Because if you can knock out guys who are in the ring with you to lose it really means something.

Also Foreman and Wach are two different fighters just in case you didn't know. Foreman was a world class athlete who became champion twice. Wach is just a big slow lumbering oaf. Also Foreman didn't fight until he was 49. I fought until he was 48 so close enough.

I do agree with you on this. Anthony Joshua's best win was against a 40 year old Wlad. Tyson Fury's best win was against a 39/40 year old Wlad. Deontay Wilder's best win was against a 50 year old Luis Ortiz. That being said Wlad and Ortiz are far better than Wach.

I also agree with you about how Whyte got knocked out stupid by old Povetkin. Tyson Fury got dropped twice earlier on in his career by light punchers. One of the guys Steve Cunnigham wasn't even a heavyweight. Joshua got knocked out by Andy Ruiz and was hurt badly by Usyk.
Deontay Wilder has been stopped twice and even knocked down by Harold Sconier a club fighter.

That being said Makhmudov still has proven nothing with his career so far. He fought easy hand picked opponents and he beat these easy hand picked opponents. The guy is 32 years old and still fighting guys that level? Back in the 70's 80's 90's or early 2000's this wouldn't have been acceptable.

This fight was so poorly promoted you would think they were fighting on another planet or something.

What exactly do "Eye of the Tiger" promotions do?

    Serge says

''Foreman was still iron-chinned at almost 49 y/o''

George Foreman born 10th of January 1949

Fought the savage punching Shannon Briggs on the 22nd of November 1997 aged 48

49-years-old Foreman, though, was nowhere near as hittable as Wach who is getting hit with every single punch his opponent throws, especially in the last 3 or so years
