Not begging at all. Those two are currently holding belts that rightfully belong to Martinez anyway, but it makes far more sense for him to want to fight for the one that he lost as a result of his own decisions and that's currently held by a guy he can actually make money against (as opposed to the one held by a no-name and that Martinez lost for no reason whatsoever).

You do know that Golovkin is an even smaller MW, right? It's also kind of hard to "avoid" a guy who can't fight in the US or Germany because of his own promotional mess.

LOL Martinez is the champ, he would rather make his legacy beating WW and hype machines like Chavez Jr. instad of fighting legit comp and his fans defend him.

I just don't understand how Pirog is so much more legit than anyone else in the division. His belt is complete paper, and his resume isn't significantly better than anyone else in the top 5-7 of the division if it is at all IMO.

Sergio beats Pirog. The risk isnt Pirog, its the money! Money makes the world go around people! why fight Pirog when he can make a big buck fighting guys like Pac and PBF and get BIG MONEY?

I like Pirog he impressed me with his coolness vs a highly regarded Jacobs, but afterwards vs avg fighters he looked avg himself. Even the Pirog that beat Jacobs simply is not enough to beat Sergio. Its not just the power, but Sergios speed, reflexes, defense, and overall game like Pacman Sergio is ready to fight the distance, but hes dangerous from first to last bell. Pirogs last performances havent helped.

Martinez was losing against Pavlik at the start of the 9th round when Pavlik hit the wall and stopped throwing punches. Martinez then went on to win by decision.

Martinez lives in S.California and is fairly popular there as he's active in the community. A fight at the Home Depot center or Staples would draw a big crowd for Martinez and generate some hype behind rather than fighting in Dibella's neighborhood. It's not like he's a young guy starting from scratch, but he might as well be fighting in New Jersey against guys like Dzinziruk and Barker. Those little guys he calls out will never fight him because he's not building any hype around him.

As for Barker, he doesn't even have big following in the UK. What's he bringing over, maybe 100-200 fans? There would be more local russian living in NY that would show up that what Barker would draw. Doesn't matter, Matinez is just taking a safe fight until something with a better risk/reward comes along.

Golovkin holds a lower walk around weight, but he's still a bigger frame than Martinez who's really bulked up over the past 4 years. No Martinez hasn't had the chance to duck Golovkin yet, but the promotionaly mess goes away in the next couple months and I hope Dibella to makes a move for Gennady.

Uh I acknowledged that fact in my post. The difference is though that Martinez actually had a mandatory for the WBC belt. The WBO just made up/invoked a rarely enforced rule to get the belt off of him; DiBella and Martinez were fuming about it and swearing they wouldn't fight for it again before Pirog won his vacant "championship."

Martinez is already the consensus best in his division and the lineal champion; Bradley is not. I think Bradley gets way too much **** for the Khan fight not happening but they're not really in comparable situations.

    Two things.

    1) Sergio isn't fighting Pacman or Floyd. He's fighting unknown B-fighters.

    2) These B-fighters don't bring anywhere near the money Pirog would bring. Pirog would be a unification fight. You see, people would actually watch that fight, because it's between two good fighters.
