    Artyom Nikolaevich Chebotarev is a 6'0 26 year old Middleweight Amateur. He was born in Saratov, Russia. As I just wrote Artem hails from Saratov which is located near Volgograd which was the scene of one of the most brutal battles in history The Battle Of Stalingrad, just a little bit of history. I can't say for sure but Chebotarev appears to be of Russian-Turkic descent the area in which he's from was partially settled by Tatars a Turkic Tribe. Artem the Gold medalist from the European Boxing Championships in Moscow 2010 isn't your typical Russian killing machine he fights a far more defensive style choosing to box at range and counter punch rather than walk down his opponents. That doesn't mean he won't engage if pressed, he can and will go on the attack and he can be pretty vicious at times. His style reminds me of Chris Algieri a little, he's very slippery in close and is more concerned with landing a shot and getting out of there as opposed to just plain running. Chebotarov has lost quite a few times but usually to other top talent like Jason Quigley, Anthony Ogogo and Dmitri Chudinov. If paired with a proper trainer he has real potential as a pro.     Artem looked pretty spectacular in his pro debut today, but his opponent had over 50 losses with 14 by way of KO, so the jury is kind of still out.:lol:

    Chebotarev is half Kazakh which is why he looks like that. With middleweight being the way it is, much better to go the super middle route where there are belts and many in Europe usually. He has already fought 8, 10 rounds in APB and then WSB plus all those amateur fights so he should be moved quickly and based on who his promoter/manager is I think that will happen, especially because he is 28.

    I had the privilege to see Chebotarev live this spring in Benidorm (Spain), he seemed to be a very skilled and complete fighter although his opponent brought nothing and was a complete bum. Here is the fight
