Artem Dalakian vs. Sirichai Thaiyen RBR

AD had this one move where he would catch the jab of Thaiyan between his own lead fist & his throat, snaring it, then yanking Thaiyen inside to crunch him on the nose with a straight rear hand shot. Incredibly awkward, unexpected, and effective - and Thaiyen was never able to make the adjustment even after getting hit with it repeatedly. Ditto when he would jump in with a straight lead, Dalakian would start to fall out in a straight line with a little pump-fake in reverse, then cut sharply to a perpendicular (moving almost like a horseman on a chessboard, in an L shape) to make Thaiyen badly miss his lunging counter - more odd-looking, non-textbook seamless blending of defense & offense.

He's like this strange admixture stylistically of his fellow Armenian flyweight world champion Vic Darchinyan and Maravilla with a dash of fellow Ukrainian citizen Vitali K.

 

Missed the fight. How good is Dalakian?

 

He's excellent.
