I didn't see senpai had made that when I put up the RBR. Also in my defense he didn't...call it a RBR or name any of the fighters in his title.

 

Hammer has more losses (11) than Suslenkov has pro bouts (10).

 

Round 1

Suslenkov aggressively pushing forward, jabbing the head, working straight & hooking combos into the gut. Ciocan backing up and picking off punches, in defensive mode, looking very flabby today - even more so than usual. Curious to see what he tipped scales at yesterday - 275 was a career high last time out versus Dillian Whyte in March.

10-9 Suslenkov

 

Round 2

Ciocan is prodded into a corner gradually, where Suslenkov tees off with a barrage of hooks and overhands with both hands. Ciocan weathers it and the ref has them reset at ring center. The crowd got hot for a second there believing a stoppage was imminent. Ciocan doing just enough to survive, pinning his palms to his cheeks, leaning to either side, moving his feet, and tossing counters. Suslenkov throwing and landing more, and with more spite. Clearly winning the rounds but Ciocan fighting for the moral victory of not getting kayoed. Triple jab on the face by Suslenkov, then Ciocan taps him with a couple of lead rights in retreat.

Hammer ate some big shots there. Suslenkov has three minutes to beat Whyte's par, and 4:20 if he wants to surpass Joyce's. Those are the fastest pair of stoppages Hammer has suffered, aside from RTD1 due to shoulder injury in his pro debut.

 

A truly big statement would be stopping him early - for which the window is rapidly shutting - and/or with a single blow. I don't think a late-rounds corner retirement or TKO helps Suslenkov's reputation that much... in fact his stock might even be at risk of dipping a little for going the full distance with an obese 37 year old.

 

Whyte and Joyce are safe.

Hammer huffing and puffing but to his credit he's taking big gulps of air and tossing some body combos in brief bursts from outside.

40-36 Suslenkov, but the fourth was somewhat close. Slow motion replays show that Suslenkov ate some flush hooks up top.
