What about those ridiculously wide scorecards!!??

It's a bit of a shame how his weight loss (a.o.(see below)) forces him to fight the way he does: Barely doing something for the first 4 rounds and after each active round thereafter takes a round off.
So far he's been lucky his opponents are so limited because tonight it was shown again that it doesn't take one hell of a boxer/mover to beat him.

But that's not an excuse. Basically the only real asset he has is his incredible punching power.

He and his team + management are after Pavlik because they know his(Pavlik's) style obviously suits him.

I think SMW or LHW would suit AA much much better. It's getting a bit ridiculous still continuing to campaign at this weight.

I agree, as he looked sick @ the weigh-in. He will fit in nicely at smw.

No excuses - AA said it himself, he was not good today and Simon was a much tougher opponent than expected. Simon is a nobody, yes, but he was definitely not that bad!

life and death? WTF were you watching.

Simon put up a fight but i don't think you've ever seen a real life and death fight.

Sounds like typical Abraham to me; slow, sloppy, and lazy as hell. I tought at least some of the smarter posters on here might realize that I am right about Abraham not being in the same league with guys like Pavlik, Taylor, Kessler, et.

Don't exagerate.Remember after Hopkins that Pavlik would lose every single fantasy match-up.Don't make it sound like Pavlik doesn't need to fight him.It still needs to happen this year.

Based on Pavlik's last fight - would you say that he's in the same league like Kessler or Taylor? Don't say he won against Taylor, everybody knows that. Just consider his performance against Rubio.

Ya --it does, but it ain't gonna be a tough fight for Kelly, and at the end of the day, it will not be considered one of his better wins.

Come on now. Simon had a draw with Darnell Boone. He is not that good. AA's weight issues are definitely causing him issues at this weight. For the record, I would love to see AA-Taylor. Talk about a measuring stick.

Now you're just pooring it on.You know fight should have happened already and it should happen anyway.Nobody cares for it at SMW.
And nobody cares for other fights anyway.
And it would be HIS BEST WIN not just one of them.Unless you think Lockett was that good or add Hopkins as a win.

Pavlik forced a guy who was ranked in the top ten by Ring Magazine to quit on his stool and did not lose a round. Arther couldn't finish a guy who was 43-50th in the world by those organizations that even rank people that far down. Pavlik looked focused, showed a better left hook and better footwork. AA looked tired, and threw wildly when he did throw. There is no comparison.
