    Yes...

Simon is virtually unknown and perhaps it's true what the German commentator said. (He said Simon has problems to make fights in the US - don't ask me why).

Not true...nobody bashes Pavlik. EVERYONE just wants to see if Pavlik can handle AA or not. AA has done everything to fight him, it's Pavlik's turn. Arum should sign the contract as soon as possible. AA has never been weaker than yesterday.

  3. What is amusing is that so many (Europeans) derided Miranda (with incredible and curious vitriol) as being such an amateurish bum that if you remove him from AA's resume it is like he has never fought anyone with a pulse. I guess his last real fight was about 4 years ago when he struggled against Howard Eastman. At least, Pavlik fought Jermaine Taylor twice. That puts him up 2-0 in legitimate fights vis-a-vis Abraham. Fortunately, both fighters will have to move up very, very soon (if not immediately).

Yep! Death and life struggle?? AA didnt have any marks in his face after 12 long rounds whereas Simon looked as if he had had a collision with a truck.
AA showed one of his weaker performances in yesterday's fight in Germany, but despite his durability Simon was on the verge of getting stopped a couple of times.
Anyway! Props to Simon for putting up the fight of his life and taking quite a handful of AA's murderous shots without going down.
Tough cookie he is,Mr.Simon from the USA.

Exactly what i was thinking.AA is weight drained as hell against an opponent better than most give him credit for and never is in any danger to lose the fight or actually get hurt.Plus AA has a history of having problems to motivate himself in fights that get him nowhere.
Yet he won by comfortable decision in a fight(like the Marquez one)that reminds me of fighting my little brother where i let him hit me because i know he can´t hurt me.A ******ed outsider might consider that a close or almost even fight yet in reality i´m always in control. In his last two fights AA was just toying around...

I said it before, a motivated AA who feels he has to prove something is a different animal.

Simon obviously didn't had a big punch. That's why AA was able to cover all night long and didn't do jacksh*t. The times when he DID punch he of course inflicted damage because he's almost a natural light-heavyweight.

I scored the fight 7 to 5 for Simon but anyone who has it 7 to 5 for AA is also fine. I do take into account the fight was in AA backyard but the scored the judges came up with were simply ri-di-cu-lous.

Come on guys, take a look at the Rings top ten and alphabet soups top 15. There is hardly anyone that Abraham, Sturm, or Pavlik haven't dusted. If AA fights a former opponent of the other two champs, he'll get smack on the board. What the guy should do? It's a stay busy fight and I actually think it was good that he didn;t knock him out. Now he can't buy into his punch any more... yeah, he looked horrible last night... an accident waiting to happen... but, if people who think he will be an easy opponent for Pavlik or Sturm need to fix their glasses. The guy gets hit extremely rarely. This guy Simon fired over 800 shots and there were only two shot which clearly connected.

I have to wonder where all of these children come out of the woodwork, here at ESB.

Arthur Abraham is OBVIOUSLY not overrated. He is a damn good fighter with HUGE power.

He has great wins over a LOT of very good fighters.

If an overrated guy is all that's in the way unification, why the hell doesn't Arum make the fight? Kelly's halfway to complete MW unification and fighting Abraham would give him 3/4 unification as well as giving him a footprint overseas that he doesn't have now (which would serve him well in the future since many of the top guys at 168 are European)-so what's the hold up?

I see... punching the gloves off an opponent brings you the rounds?! Come on, it was onesided as it could be - the feather fisted Simon couldn't hurt Abraham who looked like ****. Not a very good fight, Abraham is ready for picking at MW.

Did you even see the fight? Judging by your post, I know you didn't.

The thing is that Pav's fans are more into names, and fighters that they've seen. Anything less, and it doesn't compare to Pav lol. AA marches on to 10 defenses...encounting. AA and Saureland want the fight...guess who doesn't lol. Arum thinks the build up to a AA-Pav fight could be like Hearns and Leonard lol...

    At 170, rendering this meaningless.

Like I said..all of this "Resume" talk is meaningless. Both resumes are pretty shitty because the MW division is extremely shitty.

There are only four fighters worth mentioning at 160- Williams, Sturm, Abraham and Pavlik.

You'd figure they'd all be fighting one another but that may be TOO much to ask.
