Rubio is tough but he's the smaller guy and AA will just need one good hook and Rubio goes to sleep...

The way Jermain looked against Lacy, I almost will agree... 120-108 wouldn't be accurate tho... The fact that Jermain leaves that left so low, plus AA's punching power= a closer fight... But if Jermain comes in focused, he could do it.. He has the tools to do so... Actually, I think I wanna see those 2 get it on...

As for Pavlik, for some reason I see him getting stopped in the 4th... Pavlik will get caught with a big shot and once he's hurt, Abraham will not let up like Jermain did.... It will be a physical fight, but I see Arthur dropping Pavlik and once he does so, he'll finish him off.....

Kessler is the only guy I see convincingly beating AA...... Taller guy (well all these guys are taller than AA) Mr 1-2... He throws it with authority and showed that he can do it for the whole night....

i havent seen the fight. can someone fill me in on the details?

Ive learned that you never underestimate a fighter no matter how unknown he is. You cant always count a philly fighter out either.

At the end of the day it will be considered one of his best wins..years down the road when AA has lost to some really crappy fighters it won't be...AA fans juss don't realize that AA isn't as good as they think he is!:nono

I'm a big fan of watching fights back to back to evaluate things. Watch AA/LS back to back with Pavlik/Taylor 2. I did this with the Rubio/Ornales fight. I thought Pav/Rub would be shorter until Team Pavlik started dropping hints like, "box more" and even dropped the word YOGA into the mix. "Stick to the plan" was Loew's mantra. Talk about control! I knew Rubio was too slow for Pavlik, but one right hand in the first round had Rubio fighting scared for the rest of the fight. Think he knew the plan was to string him along and KO him in spectacular fashion for the home crowd? No wonder he quit on his stool. Well, that and he was so broken down he wouldn't have made it back to his corner if it wasn't so close at the end of the 9th. :deal

When I said "at the end of the day" I was talking about "years down the road;" when both careers are over, and we're postong AA/KP stuff in the classic section:good

Ya know Herm -- when you put it in those terms, with that comparison, I really thing Abraham is going to take a beating. Thing is, AA is a tough *******, which means he can take a LOOOONNNGG beating. Gonna be a said day in The Guntherland.

Abraham looked pathetic against Simon. If he is anything like that when/if he fights Pavlik, he's going to be brutally KO'd/TKO'd.

I don't think we'll be seeing that version of AA in the near future. Let's hope not, at least.

No, he took it for the money and to chase down Joe Calzaghe. Had Pavlik won; Calzaghe would've been ridiculed for not taking a fight against him.

PAv didn't win. He was embarrassed by hop, and many here thought Cal would embarrass PAv if he fought him. Only Pav, his fans, and biased Americans thought he could beat Cal. True boxing fans knew better.

What's your freaking point? Pavlik thought he could beat Hopkins and set up a blockbuster with Joe Calzaghe. That is why he took the fight. God damn you are as stupid as P4PDumbest.

Yep! A very good one! He took most of AA's good punches very well.Well, after a very brutal round 11 he didnt seem to be that keen on continue fighting in the final round anymore.
Anyway! Props to Simon! He put on the show of his life!
AA knocked him down, but tried too hard to knock him out at times relying too much on firepower.
HIs grumpy old coach stated in an interviev that he was very content that his boy's fight had gone the full 12 round.Best thing which could happen he said.
