Arthur Abraham and his jaw

I always wondered how he was allowed to fight w/ the titanium in his jaw. Seems unfair. How you supposed to knock a guy out w/ a metal jaw.

 

You guys are rediculous. He doesn't have titanium plated armor in his jaw, he at most has screws and a small bar that helped it grow back normally. This has nothing to do with his jaw's joint movement, which is how you get KO'd in the first place.

True he got his jaw broken early on in the fight.You could see the pain on his face in between rounds and he still fought through it and won

 

he's a badass!! Still he was full of adrenaline wich numbs the pain

 

Someone post some scientific proof that having metal in your jaw helps withstand punishment.

But suppose you could do something like this without having a broken jaw. Is it an advantage? How do you gauge in comparison to steroids or wraps and other forms of cheating?

 

Yeah, I don't really know all the intricacies of it. I've heard it in the commentary a lot made to be some big deal. Still makes you wonder, though.

So in Abraham's case. The board can denounce the man as a cheating fraud! Glad it got discussed.

The only way to beat Abraham now is to go to the body and his temple. Exclusively. If you hit him on the chin your fist will literally explode.

 

Well:

1. You dont punch with your jaw, so no advantage.
2. The jaw moves in the same way and the movement of the jaw on impact is how you get knocked out.

It is of no advantage to him, probably a disadvantage if anything as his jaw weighs more so the weight will carry from the momentum of the punch meaning he is mroe susceptible to getting knocked out. Hence his knock down v Dirrell when he hasn't really ever been down before.
