Au contraire. And I wasn't a raving Ghost fanboy, either, but the hype for him was at least more rooted in reality than people thinking Abraham could ever unify MW. Dude was never even going to realistically outbox Felix Sturm in their mutual backyard (and I don't even mean "couldn't get a fair shake on the cards against"; I mean he legitimately might not have won a round)

 

When he stepped up to the Super 6 Tourny- moving up got my respect. Not a great boxer, pretty good puncher, but limited.

 

He's too big for them! Abraham, though he later campaigned there, never faced a natural super middle with the sheer pop of The Phantom...and of course we saw what happened when Pavlik went sniffing around light heavy and got spanked by the Executioner.

 

Towards the end he was more 'The Biggest Fart in Boxing'

 

Pavlik vs Abraham would have been a good scrap, too bad the only way you can see that fight was in a video game.

 

I mean, guys are making comebacks left and right after layoffs of 3, 4, even 5 years.. I suppose there's no concrete reason we couldn't theoretically see Pavlik vs. Abraham still happen at 168lbs, if the money was right (and if Kel was fit & sober, big if...).

Literally the only thing stopping him was that he was deathly afraid of countermanding a direct order from a pudgy old German man who looks like a cross between Brian Doyle Murray and the badguy in every thriller about Liam Neeson taking down a child sex trafficking ring. Prime young strapping Abraham, terrified of saying no to a fat senior citizen.

 

If he has that biggest heart he should quit boxing and consult a cardiologist asap. Enlarged heart isn't healthy.
