    considering his professional record now,

maybe his trainer did really take him from 0 to 100..

    correct me if i'm wrong?

EDIT: think i am wrong, he does have a amatuer record..

    He has some amateur experience.

He won a German ''master'' title in '97 at middleweight.

He was german "youth" or "junior" middleweight champion (don´t know how its called) in ´97. He was 17 back then.
His record is 90 fights with 81wins, 6 draws and 3 defeats (says wiki)

His own homepage says he was 2000-2002 the armenien "senior" lightmiddleweight champion and turned pro in 2003

I once heard one of his losses was to Felix Sturm. But I don´t know if it´s true. Does somebody know?

Especially after Sturm/Gevor. Before that I thought Sturm might have a slight chance at a decision, but not now.

i don't say that sturm is bad, he is a very good defense fighter with great technic and a very good jab, but if you watch his fight(and thats for the most parts very boring), he gets sometimes cocky, and thinks he is far more superior than his challenger. i would love to see pavlik vs sturm. I would also bet that pavlik would knock sturm cold out before the 6th round:deal

When AA was still at 160 I used to say that Sturm was a more talented pure boxer than Pavlik or Abraham, but would get sparked by either. He's good, but not good enough to keep either guy off him for 12 rounds.

you are completely right:good i don't give sturm 6 rounds against against pavlik or abraham, talent wise he is better then both, but he has a bad chin, and thinks about him self that he is the best boxer ever, and thats a big problem.
to beat pavlik, you have to be a very slick, great defense fighter with some power and experience(b-hop) or a monster puncher with a great chin(i think that abraham would brutalise pavlik at 168, but lose a wide decision at 160.
to beat abraham you have to be very powerful, slick, platinum chin, and experience fighter(again b-hop, or dawson(but he has a terrible chin)) but how often do we have a fighter like b-hop??? b-hop would outclass abraham big

B-Hop vs Abraham would be the most boring fight in the history of the sport...I'd be really interested anyway, oddly enough.

which version of hopkins are you referring too ? the young hopkins or the over 35 hopkins .. The younger hopkins was more of a boxer banger , the older hopkins became more slick and conservative .
