He could stay at 168 and do what Stieglitz was doing (assuming he wins saturday) until he's 35 and retires. He could take good level but winnable fights in the process like Pavlik or Bika. Then a big fight against one of the top fighters that could generate a lot of money before he retires, say Kessler in Germany.
:deal I always liked AA but was pissed he never fought strum . . . did they protect him? I always it was Strums side that would not want the deal
Abraham is a smaller fighter whose out of his depth against the bigger men at 168, I feel he could be a real force if he were to drop back down to middleweight where the physical advantage would be more to his favour Dont forget Abraham is only 5 foot 9 (not much taller than Floyd Mayweather) whilst his losses have come against : 6'0 - Ward 6'1 - Froch 6'2 - Dirrell With his defensive style he cant help but fall prey to taller fighters who can keep him at range, Pavlik V Abraham would be interesting though given both fighters situations All in all Abraham is a solid fighter and a good champion (given he does what Berrio did all those years ago and knock out Robert Stielglitz.
A few years ago id agree. At 168 no. He lost to anyone good he fought, Ward, Dirrell, Froch dominated him, that polish guy Piotr Wilk almost, and could have beat him.
I do not even agree back then, I think most fans held AA in high regard back then and many did not bat an eye when he was put in as one of the favs for the S6.
AA was overated when he move up to 168lbs , even by me , and now i think people are undestimate him. I think this guy can be dangerous for everyone but i will love to see him have a better workrate!
His reputation was purely built upon his exploits at 160lbs, its understandable why people had such high hopes when he made the move up. In reality he was too short and too small to make his power count.
