now can braithewaite still hit that hard or is hernandez punch resistance a little suspect?

good win for big truck though...

Hernandez was looking spectacular till he got caught. He got overconfident. You always have to be wary of a puncher like Braithwaite.

Good for Wayne...especially to come back from such a brutal 1st round.

Braithwate shows tremendous experience and heart. Knocked down in the first round and clearly looked like a weak fighter compared to Hernandes. But he was patient and clever and knew he had him hurt in round 2.
Nice to see the old chaps do their thing once in a while.

BS...the shot him on the temple, not the chin, that's why his equilibrium and legs were gone. It was a great counter right hand on the temple.

the ref was definitely going to give hernandez every chance to recover, but he was just too shakey and it would have looked too suspect not to stop the fight

Temple shot. Nothing to do with chin, he got zapped by that to the forehead.

    Anyone know German?

Think it's a lil bit of both...Wayne definitely has power and the first KD was a great punch. After that though Hernandez showed shaky punch resistance and poor recovering abilities.

Damn his coach looks more devastated than Hernandez himself...

Yeah, I saw that on the replay. Spoke too soon.

Hernandez seems to have taken the loss with class.

Braitwaite is only 32, two fights in two years isn't much to shake the rust off. He should get in better shape, around 193-194 and fight more often, come back in two or three months and make a move. Braithewaite/Flores?

Dodgy ref he gave hernandez about 20 seconds to recover from the first punch.
