Abraham is complete garbage. Utterly devoid of skill.

The best effort I have ever seen Froch produce. He really improved from his previous matches. Too bad for him, that it was against such a poor display from Abraham.

Abraham should go for MW or maybe even retire. He has nothing to do in SMW.

So, we are left with a tournament where Ward seems a sure winner, Froch a sure second and the two that could challenge them (Dirrell and Kessler) out of the tournament... Ward is going to dominate Abraham, if possible even more than Froch did, and Froch is going to get a hardfought win vs Glen, but will beat him for sure. Then we have the final, where Ward will probably win in the same manner he did vs Kessler.

Alot of questions has been aswered here in the Super Six. Abraham, Kessler looked the unbeatable favourites before the tournament. Now Ward looks a definate winner, with Froch a sure second.

I believe you've got the semi finals mixed up.

I could be wrong, but I think Ward faces the Road warrior and Artur meets Carl (again) in the semis.

I can barely believe how well this went for Carl. Nervous as **** all fight, but actually he looked world class from start to finish. Abraham just couldn't find him, and when he did Froch's chin held up. What a great win! :good

How often does the underdog end up winning a shutout over 12 rounds like that??

First of all, props to Froch for a perfect fight. I expected him to get KO'd while ahead, but he stuck to his plan.

And AA didn't seem to have one, other than wait for Froch to engage him in a slugfest. When that didn't materialize, he was at a bit of a loss.

    But AA getting KO'd ?

    Don't think so.

I've given Froch his dues here, but he was aware of AA's lethality from the opening to the closing bell.

He fought the entire fight with that in mind. And rightly so. Even in the twelfth, after handing out a one-sided drubbing, he knew better than to try to go toe-to-to with AA.

If there was to be a KO in this fight (or any future such meeting), it's not going to be AA going down.

Froch demonstrated more boxing skill in this fight than any of his previous bouts that I've watched ( nearly a dozen).

He made great use of the jab, something I haven't seen him use with such effect before, and was able to keep Arthur off-guard, though never hurt.

And he exercised great patience and DISCIPLINE. On the two occasions where he appeared to have AA in trouble, given his personality and style, one might have expected him to leap in and try to put a dramatic exclamation mark on the fight with a stoppage.

But he wisely stuck to his game-plan and, while the first and last rounds were close, IMO he scored a shutout here, 120-108.

Before tonight, I considered Froch crude and without much skill. Either I was wrong (happens all the time!) or he has improved considerably.

I still don't like the guy much, but I now have a lot more respect for him as a boxer.

Well done The Cobra his most disciplined and mature performance so far.

He showed in this fight he isn't a limited brawler and why he won a Bronze medal in the World Champs as well as his underrated boxing skills, Heart and willingness to fight the best he should be P4P top 10 no doubt.

There were more than a few hairy moments for Abraham, especially when the consistent body work started forcing him to lower his hands and clear the landing strip for headshots.

He was hurt a bit, and more than just twice.

A rematch would most likely be a carbon-copy of tonight - another 120-108 decision win for Froch - but Abraham getting knocked down or given a standing 8 and then having a referee wave it off as Froch throws a couple dozen unanswered punches is not that far-fetched based on what we saw. He could also get cut. There are more ways to be stopped than simply rendered unconscious, and even fighters with iron jaws like AA can be susceptible to them when completely outclassed, outworked and out-gunned. Froch could be every bit as careful as he was tonight and still get a stoppage in a rematch.
