Arthur Abraham vs. Carl Froch

I couldn't put it better myself so I wont bother trying. This is exactly the way I see this fight.

Frochs run of world class opponents will finally take its toll on him. He deserves/deserved a far better promoter.
How the super six wasn't on Sky, i'll never know. Fuc*ing shocking really.

 

I agree with the first part, Froch starts the faster and probably wins 4 out of the first 5 rounds. AA does come on strong in the mid to late rounds, but Froch doesn't slow up for me. He had a hard fight against Kessler and I think he draws on the experience and gets out of harms way, even if losing rounds in the process.

I also think Froch catches him and puts him down late on. If dirrell can put AA on his arse, Froch certainly can. Expect AA to rally late and mayb even put froch down. Nonetheless, Froch wins a close UD, maybe 2 rounds.

 

I know you like detailed explanations Slip but all I'm gonna say is Carl's gonna smoke AA's boots.

 

I think the referee will be a big factor in this fight, and I reckon we could be in for a controversial ending.

AA seems a bit vulnerable to body shots in my opinion, and he'll be moaning to the ref whenever Froch nails him there. I can see Froch flooring AA whilst he's tugging at his shorts and looking for sympathy..............

 

I really don't have a clue how this fight will pan out, but I have a feeling in my gut that Froch will stop him late in what will turn out to be the Fight of the Year.

 

I tell you though if Froch wins this and it is a FOTY he deserves some sort of ****ing recognition big time. Beating AA along with his cv previously, in modern day boxing is just outstanding I don't care what anyone says.

Froch is a legend.

Valid arguments can be made for both of them winning..... to me it all depends on how they react to their loss last time out.

Froch was edged out by Kessler and felt ripped off, Abraham took 10 rounds to get out of bed against Dirrell and was clearly losing before being thrown out.

 

This will be a war for 8 rounds, until McCracken is forced to throw the towel in.

 

AA is going to be pounding the **** out of Froch by 8 :deal

 

OOh by the way just a comment to the thread starter. Why the hell are you taking about Froch AA!?!? Surely another Haye Harrison thread is better than this dross

 

I said from the start of this tournament that I didn't think AA would be successful in it, I have always felt that his slow starts and his size would be a problem for him...the current crop of SMWs are pretty big and I feel that AAs power did not make the full transition up a division as many others think.

Froch can win this by outboxing him, his jab is very good and although it wouldnt cause much damage to AA it will prove a useful tool in keeping the distance between Froch and AA. You've also got to feel that some of Frochs winging wide punches will connect and cause damage to AA.

If it goes to a war, I have no idea what will happen It could be a mad mad fight, I must say I hope its a war, 2010 needs a memorable fight.

Can't wait.
