You don't have to be a "counterpuncher" to blister this oaf. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_a8Si1UkKc
Have you caught either of those fights Boorad? Shannan had a go against Joval in his hometown, went down trying but was injured early and just was overwhelmed, wasnt brutally stopped by Raymond's power or anything, just packed it in when the pain got to much..Against AA Taylor was very careful and held quite a bit, this was one of Abe's quieter performances where he was content not to do much to get the win....Taylor does have an average chin though. Thats the thing about AA I dont quite get...Sometimes he is just plain brutal with his power, physical strength and skills and can be quite aggressive. But in others he just doesnt do anything and the results speak for themselves...Quite strange, he just sits insides his guard for long periods of time.
Thanks for the input. I'd appreciate any further info on Arthur's resume that you, or others might have. I've been watching video of AA lately, and quite honestly, the more I see, the more convinced I become that he isn't anywhere near the level a lot of people claim he is. Pavlik normally wades through short power punchers like a kid stomping a mud puddle dry. The kid ends up wet and dirty, but he gets the job done.
There isn't much doubt in my mind that Pavlik wins this fight. Barring some huge punch that kelly doesn't see coming ( Which I don't think would happen, considering that AA is much to slow and throws looping punches ) , I see Pavlik being able to maintain his range and pick AA apart with 1-2's .
KP has to bring the guard down before he can make the 1-2 or double-jab/right hand work. Lead rights up under the left elbow, and left hooks up under arthur's right elbow, and beat the living **** out of his arms and shoulders. That should do the trick.
AA would give Pav his first ko.. He'll definitely capitalize after the first knockdown, unlike Taylor, who wasn't able to do it...this guy is unbeatable @ this weight, at least for now!
