The fight will probably happen 5-8 years from now when no one cares anymore.

This would be a great fight for boxing and one I would love too see. Hopefully it will take place next year before Kelly moves up for good.

Whos ducking each other.. I don't think AA or KP are ducking each other. AA has a mandatory, Kp is taking a payday and a risk fighting Hop.. Then they hopefully meet in January. At which time KP ends this bull**** and moves up in weight. I just do not see who Abe has beaten to be able to handle the pace and constant barage Pav is going to put on him... Abe has skills for sure, just don't see where he has fought any one in that class, his defense is solid, jab is good, he can punch for sure... Just see him getting badly outpointed unless he lands a bomb, which he might..

My bad it was 1.5 million.

"Wilfried Sauerland has offered Felix Sturm 1.5 million euros for a unification clash with IBF middleweight champion Arthur Abraham"

from the scence that likes boxing.

Thats still a **** load of cash.

and if boxing fans have there way Sylvester needs to win. Then again who knows if Sylvester is a coward or a warrior only time will tell I suppose

Sylvester - Sturm will be a good boxing match.

I agree TFFP, whos your pick?? I'm hoping for Sylvester because I don't think its possible to be a bigger coward than Sturm and Sylvester, if infact he beats Sturm(I have many doubts) may not shy away from unifying with Pavlik. Sylvester has the harder punch, but Sturm is the better boxer...at least in my humble opinion...your thoughts:think

Because boxers age differently. Eubank retired at 31 or so, and past his best, Hatton will retire soon. Hopkins was at his best in his mid 30s, as was Lennox Lewis.

Roy Jones was shot to pieces 4 years ago, he hasn't won a real fight at LH in over 4 years - he has been ktfo in 3 of his last 6.

Calzaghe was tearing apart Lacy just 2 years ago; Easily defeating Kessler just 9 months ago, and beating a wily old Hopkins just 4 months ago. If Calzaghe can do produce the best performances of his entire career here, he can't be that far past his best. If he had been ktfo by Tarver, and Johnson - totally outpointed - looking like hes fighting in soup; I think people may well be saying the same thing about Pavlik - Calzaghe, as they do about Calzaghe - Jones.

Some boxers get better with age/or at least don't deteriorate to such a degree as others ie Lewis, Hopkins, Calzaghe - where as for other boxers age is not so kind ie Jones, Hatton, Tyson etc...

Jon, you're really not being realistic when it comes to Jones. Fact is he was in a rut, with many factors to attribute to his downfall, but like all champions, he comes back. You may very well be eating your words in a few months:yep Jones, like many champions in the past who have hit the shithouse will become champion again:) If I'm wrong call me a fool, I don't give a ****. Jones still has it, and will prove such come November:yep
