He might as well face reality, he knows his frame is growing and his days at 160 are numbered. He better get wit the program or get GHOST!
Abraham has already did his part fighting Miranda in his own backyard in Florida and taking him out half the time Pavlik did. Now it's HBO's turn to offer either the big fight itself or an undercard spot for AA. And since there's no real competition out there to land AA on an HBO WCB card (Winky never wanted Abraham, HBO never wanted to put AA-Marquez on the air, so what else?), going straight for the Pavlik-AA fight would make only sense. I think they need no introduction for AA, he'd make an unforgettable debut vs. Pavlik himself. But HBO's interest seemingly dropped lately, and I haven't heard Arum or Team Pavlik speaking of AA in the last 2 months, while I heard them talking about Williams, the former WW. Maybe they are choosing that path because they know the difficulties a fighter moving up in weight has to deal with? Well, after the Hopkins fight, maybe they're saying: why can't we do the same thing, just on the other end of the stick this time?
How come he couldn't beat him at 166? 115-113, 116-112, 117-111. Pretty clear UD fo Pavlik only 2 pounds under the SMW limit. I don't think we'll see KP doing any more division hopping since the Hopkins debacle. He got away with fighting from 154 to 170 against cans, but at the elite level you enter a whole different universe. If he moves to 168 the right way, he'll do fine.
What about Kirkland -- young, undefeated, knocks everybody out, his last two fights, and several others have been at middleweight. I'm just trying to think of ways to build this up. Like I really have some influence:-(
